My Story

My name is Lauren and I am a college student in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you so much for checking out my shop! I currently use the income from my jewelry to pay for my education. I am so far debt free!!! I couldn't do it without my wonderful customers so thank you!!!

I started playing with jewelry in January of 2011. I began making many different beaded earrings. From there discovered hand stamped jewelry and fell in love with the technique. I now make all different sorts jewelry, accessories, and pet tags! My favorite pieces to make are medical I.D. bracelets and jewelry for fundraisers. I love the fact that I am able to make pieces that can help people!

Payment
Lauren Elaine Designs LLC accepts major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Etsy gift cards . You may cancel your order before the item has been made to receive a full refund. Once an item is made there are no refunds if it is customized in any way. Once an item is shipped, the shipping costs are non-refundable.
Shipping
I ship my items using a padded envelope via first class shipping or by USPS flat rate shipping box. Domestic shipping usually takes 2-5 days. You can upgrade to faster shipping during the checkout. Once shipped, shipping charges are nonrefundable.

International Shipping usually takes 1-4 weeks depending on the country. Some orders may be held up in customs causing delays. I am not responsible for any delays that can be caused from going through customs. Expedited shipping is available during the checkout for international orders.

***For international orders the customer is responsible for any duty fees that are due from customs.***

Tracking numbers for your order are sent via email from Etsy. You should also be able to find your tracking number by going to Your Account > Purchases & Reviews. International orders do have tracking numbers but most of the time it will only be updated while it is still in the US. Only some countries update all the way through to delivery.

If your items are lost in the mail and the post office is unable to find it for you, your package does have insurance. I will be able to file an insurance claim 20 days after the ship date for US orders or 40 days after the ship date for international orders. Once the claim has been filed it takes about 3 weeks for the insurance company, Shipsurance, to process it and send payment. Shipsurance will likely need the customer to sign a "Buyer Verification". I will send you the link to the form. Once I receive the payment I will be able to send you a refund, or a replacement.

I will not ship to these countries because I cannot insure the packages: Afghanistan, Angola, Brazil, Bolivia, Burma, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), Liberia, Nigeria, North Korea, Paraguay, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela

If the item is returned back to me from the post office due to the address being incorrect, the buyer is responsible for the new shipping label cost. I will contact you via Etsy conversations when I receive the package. The buyer has 90 days to purchase a new shipping label from the date I contact you. After 90 days I will no longer hold the item.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds accepted within 30 days of purchase. I will refund your order when it is returned back to me. All merchandise must be returned in its original condition in order to receive a full refund. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense. Custom orders cannot be refunded. Shipping costs are nonrefundable under any circumstance.

Packages are insured against damage and loss. If there is a problem please let me know and I will file a claim. Please note that the insurance company will likely need you to fill out some forms. Be sure to keep the packaging and item in case the insurance company needs proof of the damage. (There is a possibility that I will be unable to replace the exact item you ordered but I am willing to make an item as close as possible to the original.) If an order was not received in the mail please double check the tracking number. If it hasn't been updated in several days it is likely that it was lost. Insurance is included with all orders so I can help you file a claim after a 20 day waiting period (US orders) from the ship date. The claim process usually takes between 3 weeks to go through. So it can take 6 weeks for the entire process.

If there was a misspelling on your order, contact me and send me a picture of my mistake and I will redo your order at no cost to you. All of my custom orders are stamped exactly as typed by the purchaser. So please be sure that your spelling and your message is exactly as you want it to appear. I cannot be held responsible if the message you typed is incorrect.

If no instructions are left with the order, (i.e what phrase you want on the piece) I will assume that you didn't read the description, and send the item shown in the first picture of the listing. But if you chose anything in the drop down menus, then I will use the what you chose from the drop down menu, and not what was used in the first picture. i.e. font, color, metal type etc. I will try to use all of the information you have given me.

If instructions are vague or incomplete, I will reserved the right to use my discretion on how to arrange the stampings. I will try to make the item the best way I can with the instructions that are provided. To avoid this please be sure to read the item's descriptions for instructions on how to order.

Refunds are not given for the stamps being crooked or off center. Please do not expect any hand stamped items to be perfect as I stamp each letter individually. The process is very different from traditional engraving, which carves a light groove into the metal. Stamping is a more forceful technique, where each individual letter, number and symbol is stamped by hand, one at a time with a hammer and steel stamp. This is much deeper than engraving and therefore, there will probably be a slight impression on the other side. I have no control in preventing these impressions so no refunds are given for the slight impressions on the back side as well.

Be sure to read the listing's descriptions because they will tell you everything you need to know about how to order a custom item. Most of the time the last pictures in the listing show the fonts, picture stamps, colors, and metal types I have available for a particular item. So please click through all of the pictures so you aren't missing anything.

Frequently asked questions

Can I customize this item?

Most of the items can be customized! Send me a message with the item's name and what you want to put on it if you aren't sure it will fit! Also double check that I don't have the customizable version of the same item in my shop. That way you can choose your font and any design stamps you may want to add.

Can the back side of an item be stamped?

Unfortunately no, most items can not. If an item can be stamped on the back side the item's description will state that it can. Hand stamping leaves a deep imprint in the metal which would leave marks on the front side if the back was to be stamped.

How can I get my item faster?

There are faster shipping options available during the checkout. Select the option that will work with your deadline.

Care instructions

I recommend avoiding water for most products as it can wash the black ink out of the lettering. However if your lettering starts to fade simply refill them with a black sharpie and remove the excess ink with either a "Sunshine Polish Cloth" or a paper towel dampened with rubbing alcohol.

Copper, brass, sterling silver and nickel will patina over time and can vary depending on use and exposure to body oils. The naturally occurring, ageing process for these metals has a lovely look and aesthetic and is not considered a defect but part of the beauty and appeal of the metals. If you prefer to keep your pieces bright, a sunshine polish cloth or other jewelry cleaners with do the trick.

How long does it take to make an order?

How many letters can I fit on an item?

For the items that are customizable please see the "item details" or "description" for the number of characters that can fit.

Where do I write what I want stamped on the item?

Please leave your instructions in the message box that comes up during the checkout. Be sure to type your phrase exactly how you want it to appear and leave any additional info I may need like how you want your phrase laid out, design stamp locations, etc.

If you have something pictured in your mind, please be detailed in your instructions so that it turns out just how you want it to!
