About

I'm a hand lettering and modern calligraphy artist with a passion for creating art with a positive message.

I’m Lauren Ibach (that’s pronounced: eye-bock.) 😉 and I am hand lettering and modern calligraphy artist.

I love inspiring others with my work. Hand lettering has a way of grabbing our attention and drawing us in, so I am passionate about spreading positive messages through the words I write on each of my products. And, I also enjoy encouraging other letterers by providing resources to help you improve your own lettering projects, as well as offering affordable resources for showcasing the beautiful art you spend so much time creating.

--- --- ---

I've loved letters for as long as I can remember. I made cards for people I loved, wrote Bible verses in my journals in fun writing, but it wasn't until I picked up my first brush pen in 2015 that I really started to practice and improve on my lettering.

Daily practice led to confidence in my lettering. That confidence led to more enjoyment, which led to sharing my creations on social media, which led to receiving my first custom order inquiries. I was amazed that people were taking notice of my little hobby and appreciated my work so much that they were willing to hire me for personal projects.

As interest in my work grew, so did my desire to open an Etsy shop, so in October 2016, I listed a few digital prints to get me started with the intent of expanding my shop to physical prints, cards, and other hand lettered products. Since opening, I've done just that. I now offer a variety of products for lettering artists and lettering lovers alike - and even wrote a couple devotional books I sell exclusively here at LaurenIbachLettering on Etsy.

I not only sell products through my shop, but I now take care of most of my custom orders through Etsy. I love creating custom pieces for people, because it gives me the opportunity to be a part of other people's lives, creating something that has deep personal meaning to each individual and/or their loved ones, and often times, hearing amazing stories about why the words they are having me write mean so much to them.

Love,
Lauren

Frequently asked questions
How do I load digital downloads on my iPad?

For step-by-step instructions downloading digital files from Etsy, copy/paste this link to watch a video tutorial: http://bit.ly/2QOmxis

If you follow my instructions carefully, you shouldn't have any issues!
If you're still confused I usually suggest finding a tech-savvy friend or family member to help! There's only so much more help I can offer via email, but I am willing to further assist you! If you think your issues are related to a technical difficulty beyond your control, send me an email and I'll get back to you within two business days to figure out how to resolve the issue.
If you need additional help after you've downloaded, I provide helpful tutorials for each digital product on my YouTube channel to help you get started.

Do you accept custom orders?

If my schedule permits, absolutely! Things I'm happy to letter for you:
- Original poems/quotes, Bible verses (ESV or KJV)
- Short phrases
- Logos, your business name/slogan
- Any quotes in the public domain. (A good rule of thumb, if it's more than 100 years old, you're good to go!)

Without proper permissions, I do not letter any copyrighted material, such as movie, TV show, or book quotes, and I do not letter quotes from individuals who are alive or have been deceased for less than 100 years.

Contact me through Etsy and I'll be happy to discuss your specific ideas!

Please visit laurenibach.com/faqs for additional answers to common custom order questions.

When I message you with a question or a custom order request when can I expect a response?

You will receive a response within 2 business days of sending your message. My business hours are slightly different than the average 9-5er, so here they are:

Tues - Sat: 9 AM - 5 PM
Sun - Mon: Unavailable

What is your custom order proofing process?

This varies from order to order. But, with all orders, I start by sending a sketch/first draft for you to approve. Once I receive your response, I will either send you another draft or get to work on the final. Many of my customers like to be surprised and wait to see the final until they receive it in the mail, but I will always give you the option to see it before finalizing and shipping or not. Just keep in mind, there are no returns, exchanges, or refunds on custom orders!

What is your custom order turnaround time?

This will vary from order to order. For most orders, I tell people it takes 2-3 weeks to finish custom orders. Keep in mind, prompt communication helps greatly in getting orders completed on time (and sometimes early!). I generally respond very quickly to clients who have open custom orders so I can get orders finished promptly.

Do you sell your products wholesale or offer bulk pricing?

Yes!

If you would like to order my products at the wholesale price, check out my wholesale shop on Faire (laurenibach.faire.com) or contact me directly through Etsy.

If you would like to order a product in bulk and are not purchasing as another business owner, I can sometimes offer discounted prices. Please contact me via Etsy to let me know which product(s) you are interested in and how many.

I would like to order a print in your shop in a size that's not offered. Is that possible?

Of course! I can offer designs in a variety of sizes. Please contact me through Etsy about these requests. Please keep in mind, these orders generally cost more than other prints on my shop since they aren't ordered/created in bulk.

What services do you use for shipping and how do you go about packaging?

I ship through USPS, purchase all my labels directly through Etsy, and order all of my packaging in bulk online. I make sure all of my items are packaged well so they'll arrive safely, but I also love making each package look like a present for the buyer, so I stamp each box/envelope with my logo, place prints and books in cute paper bags, and oftentimes include little freebies in each package. I appreciate every order that comes in and this is my way of showing each customer how much I appreciate his/her business!

Where do you get your products printed/manufactured?

I do all of the designing for my shop, but I have quite a few production partners. Please visit laurenibach.com/faqs for more on where I get my products manufactured.
