About

Unique Jewelry Blending Cultures.

I had the good fortune to spend three decades traveling the globe for my work as a foreign correspondent. I'm an inveterate shopper so I made sure to find time to explore local markets for little treasures --unusual beads and ethnic designs.

That exciting and fulfilling life has inspired my art. Watercolor paintings of favorite photos keep memories alive. And, my handcrafted jewelry also lets me share the many cultures I experienced, not to mention support and empower women who craft the beads: Silver beads uncovered in Middle East markets, African cloth beads made in women's cooperatives. Mexican straw beads sold by a delightful old lady in Oaxaca. Hand blown glass beads from Hebron and southern Lebanon!

Friends started buying jewelry I was wearing and I thought, wait a minute, this is fun and a nice way to share my craft! That led to small shows at friends' homes and finally, happily to ETSY so jewelry lovers could buy a necklace without having to wait for a show.
I add new items as I create them. I hope you enjoy wearing them as much I enjoy designing them!

I spent nearly 30 years traveling the globe as a foreign correspondent but I always found time to explore local markets for special beads. The globetrotting is finished but not my love for combining cultures and colors to create unique jewelry.

I hope you enjoy wearing my creations as much as I enjoy designing them! My necklaces and earrings offer a unique look to accent any wardrobe, be it casual or high fashion. They are not cookie cutter offerings. I use a mixture of unique new and ancient beads from a variety of cultures to create a personal look that reflects your fashion style. I welcome your feedback and, if you love your new design, please do tell your friends to visit my shop too!!

Additional policies and FAQs
Just a note to let you know that many of the beads I use are natural wood, stone or glass so there may be variations in shape and imperfections in some coloring.

Some of the patina of the Middle Eastern and Thai silver may darken with age and contact with your skin. The natural variations are what make the jewelry interesting and unique!
