Announcement   Welcome to Laurie's online gallery!
Laurie is my sister, and I keep this online shop open to sell her beautiful art prints, because she doesn't use a computer. She remains in another time and place, that as the future progresses, I feel may be a better choice...
These are her words:
"40 years ago I began to illustrate my experiences as a VISTA volunteer and farmworker in California's San Joaquin Valley The survival chapters that followed kept me in the inner city and dead end donkey jobs. Early paintings from those times reflect a dreary side of humanity confined to a world of concrete and asphalt. Still, I wanted to paint the story of forgotten people living in the shadows of America's prosperity.
I returned to Arizona 32 years ago, happy to be re-united with this beautiful desert habitat. Nature themes have balanced the serious subjects Here, abundant wildlife mingles with our human community, creating a sense of belonging to one large earth family.
My paintings are a home grown mixed media method all my own. Without an art education, I had to figure it out myself. I am grateful to the many kind people who have exhibited my work through the years. It is my hope that these humble subjects share our humanity and assure goodwill to all mankind and animals."

I will be adding more of Laurie’s’ prints as time permits. Please convo/email me with any questions you might have, I’ll be happy to chat with you.
