Fun in Designing

I Love to Designe Unique items
My passion is sewing ,Collecting Antique / Vintage items
I started Sewing over 35++ years ago
My prices are low for I sew for fun. This is a way for me to pass time If I added on all time I spent on my items like my Quilts or Sweaters' Id have to ask so much more ( like most shops do who sells ones like I make) . I spend allot of time on my Designs I just don't throw fabric together I thank my items shows that , and my feedback well read for yourself.
If I ever choose to do this for a living my prices would have to go up, but till then Im happy just to sew for fun, and being able to save you some money.
We both win

Refurbish Fabric TRUTH
Refurbished, Recycled, upcycled or whatever other fancy name shops are calling it. Fact it is still used fabric.
In reality what most sellers will not tell you is they (the sellers ) don't know where the fabric came from if a shop stats they do ID QUESTION THAT for must shops rather they admit it or not gets some of there used fabric from second hand stores. Some might tell you they got them all from friends but who knows maybe there friends got item at a second hand store how would the seller know. So I have to say anyone who uses used fabric the sellers DONT know what atmosphere all the fabric was in How could they know?
Id suggest before buying something made of used fabric I recommend the buyer asking the seller if they wash all fabric. If they don't that's so not fair to the buyer, and Id pass on buying that item.

Now unlike most shops I add allot of New Fabric to my items. I wash all fabric before I use it. If I or my shop associates notice a odor I do not use that fabric . Then I also rewashed item when I'm finish with it ( before I pack for shipping).I fell that is the right thing to do. Now I got you wondering how many other shops who use refurbish fabric washes all there items. All I'm going to say if they don't Id question why for reasons above, and pass on that item.
So know you know the truth about refurbish fabric.

On the lighter note
Tips on How to get odor out of Fabric
Great news all smells can be taken out of cotton ,and knit fabric So I'm going to give you some tips that might help you if needed on this subject I hope you don't need it ,but this info might come in handy someday.
For cotton and Knit Fabric one great item to try is Vamoose this product can be brought on the net then a line dry in fresh air. You can also try this method put in the washer along with detergent Oxy Clean 1/4 cup, Vinegar 1/8 cup, Backing Soda 1/4 cup (Baking soda is great for odor control. For strong smells you can spray fabric with Freeze let sit for 5 minutes then wash also add more Backing Soda and Vodka about 1/4 cup each then Air dry outside.
Drying fabric in natural air help eliminate smells. If you are like me I like fabric softener so I put items in dryer for 5 min then air dry outside.
.Other solutions can be found on the net, but I find the ones above to work great on items I got that needed it. The second one works great with cigarette , urine ,and body odors smells. Hope this helps someone
