About

Quality Needlecrafts for Dolls and Wee Ones

Taught to knit and crochet by immigrant German and Irish grandmothers, and encouraged by my mother to pursue arts and crafts in my spare time, my passion for needlework has grown over the years. My love affair with lavender began over 30 years ago when my dear Aunt Eleanor gave me a lavender wand she had woven with ribbon, using lavender she harvested from her own plants. Though my mentors are all gone and greatly missed, I now follow in their footsteps, carrying on the traditions they enjoyed.

In the early days I was inspired by my family and friends to work on countless projects, large and small, for the many special people in my life. In recent years, it has been little girls in the family and in the neighborhood who have motivated me, not only to mentor them and teach them to knit and crochet, but also to shift my focus in the direction of making clothes for dolls, and booties, blankets and toys for infants. Now it is my customers who inspire many of my designs and who offer friendship and encouragement, for which I am grateful.

I love what I do, and there's a lot of love in every stitch!
