Different types of flowers, herbs and teas will fill packaging to different levels. For instance an ounce of Lavender Chamomile Tea will “look” like more than an ounce of Earl Grey Tea. Due to this, some tea blends may appear to ‘fill’ the packaging more than others. Or from another perspective, some options may appear to not ‘fill’ the packaging as much as others. Please take this in to consideration when ordering. 🤗

The answer isn’t as simple as it may seem... Both liquid and dry measure have the same name, "one cup"

In our shop, items sold in cup increments are referring to dry measure using a one cup scoop.

🍨 Dry measurement cups are one cup of whatever is scooped.

Dry measure ingredients vary greatly in weight, examples:

🌹 1 cup of rose petals weighs about 0.5 oz
💜 1 cup of lavender flowers weighs about 0.75 oz
🥣 1 cup of all-purpose flour weighs about 4.5 oz
🍪 1 cup of chocolate chips weighs about 6 oz

On the flip side…

🥛 Fluid Ounces, liquid measuring cups indicate that 1 cup of liquid = 8 fluid ounces.

⚠️ To clarify, one cup of lavender flowers is {{not}} 8 oz of flowers, as flowers are dry and not a liquid.
