About

Welcome to the Lazy Y Vintage!

Welcome to the Lazy Y Vintage Shop! Jim and I offer vintage pieces for your home, garden, office, and/or dinner table. As a thoughtful gift, or as part of your collections; we offer competitive prices and strive to answer your questions within 24 hours. And, Jim will make sure that your purchases arrive in very good condition and as quick as possible.

In our shop you will find some current trends in decorating, and many classics that are collected and admired as timeless. We started quite a bit back in time collecting, decorating, and learning about antiques and vintage items for our home. We are Ecogeeks and believe in reduce, reuse, and recycle. By decorating or using vintage, you are helping in this cause.

You have to appreciate the workmanship that has gone into the early manufacturing of or the artistry in creating an item that has made it through the years. We like it even more when it comes with a story; a bit of history. We find it so satisfying to keep vintage and antique items moving through history; through our journey to your adventure.

Our home is full of furniture I have refinished or has been passed down from Grandma Ruby. The flower pots we use outside are all used vessels that look and feel wonderful and make me smile. When I need a table or new lamps, we are off to the resale shops or antique markets, and occasionally a barn sale!

Enjoy your time shopping at the Lazy Y Vintage. We enjoy the time and processes it takes to create it as we continue on this journey together called Life. Thanks for dropping by.

P.S. The shop’s banner is a bridge at the Town of Linn Community Nature Park in Lake Geneva, WI. It is a 160 acre nature park that was restored to oak savannas, tallgrass prairies, and pothole wetlands. In 2010, two of these bridges were installed over the stream and wet areas to make the trails and park accessible for all. I wrote grants and worked with the Town of Linn Park Committee.

Jim comes along for the fun of finding new pieces for the shop. He likes to joke with everyone that he is just there to carry things. Which does help a lot, but he is also there to make it fun and make everyone around him laugh.

Frequently asked questions

Very Good Vintage Condition

I use the term "very good vintage condition" for pieces that are in excellent condition. Yet please remember that these items have mostly been used before; so they will have a few imperfections. Anything that is obvious will be noted in the description and/or pictures.

Good Vintage Condition

When the description uses the term "good vintage" condition; it means that it does have some flaws (and should be noted in the description). Less than perfect, but still in good shape.

Refunds

We do offer refunds, but the item will have to be returned to us before the refund is completed. We do NOT pay for return shipping. Please, let us know if you have any issues, we will be glad to discuss them with you to determine an outcome.

Customer Service/Communication

We will return all messages within a 24 hour period, but we do strive to reply as quick as possible.

Breakage in Shipping

Jimmy works really hard to ensure a safe delivery of your package. But we have had damage through the shipper in the past. If you would please send us a picture or two of the damage box and/or its contents. We can file for insurance and will refund the costs of the items.

What does vintage mean?

Vintage means an item is at least 20 years old or at the most 99 years old. Once it is 100 years old, you can call it an antique. Please be aware that you are purchasing a used item. We keep trying to improve our descriptions and pictures to point out chips or dents or other issues a piece may have.

Saying that, there may be small vintage wear that go unnoticed. I do go over the piece when I buy it, wash it, take its picture, write its description or weigh it. Yet still, sometimes I miss it. The right light will show scratches on dinner plates for example. One time, you could see a crack in a piece of pottery in the photograph that you could not see when looking at it.
