We are Gabriella and Adam and every backpack and bag in our shop is our original design, meticulously made by hand in waterproof fabrics in a wide range of colors and styles. From mini backpacks to embroidered backpacks to crossbody bags to custom designs – we can do it all!

It starts with a small stich
Hello, I’m Gabriella. My partner, Adam, and I make leaf-shaped backpacks, bags, and embroidery. We run Leafling Bags from our home studio.
I started sewing as a hobby shortly after I moved from my home town in Romania to Budapest. In the beginning, I was using a sewing machine that I borrowed from a friend’s mother to make easy things like pillow cases. Then, when my favorite bag broke, I started playing with designs to make a replacement. That first bag was a huge success in my circle of friends, and their support and encouragement made me want to create more. At the time, owls were a big trend, and since I’m a fan of the woodland theme, I decided to make my bags in the shape of leaves.
Once I had a few designs that I was happy with, I started researching sites where I could sell them; that’s how I came across Etsy and decided to open a shop. When I started out, I didn’t have high hopes for Leafling Bags — I only had a few listings, and I considered it more of an experiment to see if people around the world would like my creations as much as I enjoyed making them. However, after my first sale, I was super motivated to create even better bags. I started playing with new fabrics and techniques and purchased some industrial sewing machines. I loved what I was doing, even when it was challenging or when I made mistakes.
Adam helped a lot with finalizing Leafling Bags’ designs and product lines. We have entire sketchbooks filled with the ideas we’ve come up with over the years. We want our product to be useful and cute; our bags are made for people who enjoy nature, biking, festivals, and life itself. Getting feedback from our customers is also really valuable to us — it helps us figure out what our target audience needs and wants.
Etsy has given us a platform to sell products that come from our heart to people everywhere who appreciate handmade goods. It also helped us achieve our dream: What started as a hobby is now a full-time business for both of us! There is so much more that we would like to do in the future, and we look forward to creating new designs and developing wholesale relationships with boutiques overseas.

Frequently asked questions
When will my order be shipped?
We are doing our best to stay safe during this pandemic so we are limiting our shipping to only once a week this means a 3-5 business days of processing time on ready to ship items , Pre-Orders ship in 3-4 weeks after receipt of payment.
Please note that small delays can be expected due to the pandemic, customs, bank holidays or during buys holiday shopping seasons.
Can I track my order?
Yes! We will email you the tracking information after the courier service picked it up.
Do I have to pay import tax upon reciving my order?
Please check what your country's import restrictions are from the EU before purchase and understand that we are not responsible for any customs fees, duty fees, or applicable taxes on international purchases you might incur, since this fee is not included in the shipping fee. Shipping fee only covers the price of the delivery service, import tax is not included. Please do not ask us to mark your order as a "gift" this is against the law and we will not do so.
What happens when no one is available at my home or office to accept the parcel??
If you are not available to accept delivery of your shipment, your courier may leave you a delivery attempt notice. With your delivery attempt notice you can request a new delivery by contacting FedEx directly with your tracking number to schedule a new delivery. Do not delay the delivery and or customs process of your parcel, because they can charge you for additional storage fees. FedEx will only store your parcel for 7 days in total before the parcel gets destroyed! In this case we won’t be able to resend the item or provide a refund of the order! Completing the custom process and accepting the delivery of the parcel is the responsibility of the buyer and Leafling Kft. cannot be held responsible for any loss in value!
Do you accept Returns?
We are unable to provide a return shipping label. Buyers are responsible for return postage costs.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your order must be returned within 14 business days of delivery or by the end of the fiscal month the item was shipped. If the item is not returned by the end of the fiscal month we can only provide store credit or exchange to an other item of the same value.
All items must be returned in the manner in which they were received. If we find that the item have already been used, lost or damaged during the return shipping, we cannot replace them and we cannot give a refund!

What to do is the shipping address is incorrect?
If the wrong shipping address was provided at the time of your order, please contact us as soon as possible, before the order gets shipped! In the email please include your order number and your full name and correct shipping address. If the item has already been delivered we are unable to refund the order or ship a new one. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide a valid shipping address at the time of the order and Leafling Kft. cannot be held responsible for any loss in value if the incorrect address was provided!
I didn’t receive my order. What to do now?
Please note that small delays can be expected due to the pandemic, customs, bank holidays.
If your package shows it has been delivered and it is not at your business or home, please contact FedEx with your tracking nr. As a service standard, FedEx requires a signature on all deliveries. However, in some circumstances recipients can allow FedEx to leave your package without a signature. If the buyer allows delivery with no signature and the package gets lost or stolen we won’t be able to resend the item or provide a refund of the order! Always ask for a signature as proof of delivery! Leafling Kft. cannot be held responsible for any loss in value if the recipients allowed FedEx to leave your package without a signature!
The item I wanted to buy is no longer available. Will it be available again?
Yes it will. We make our bags and items in small batches, this way we can offer a large variety of products in a short amount of time. If you don’t want to miss our next shop update sign up to our newsletter.
The item was damaged during shipping. What do I do now?
If the item was damaged during shipping please contact us with photos of the package and item. We will need the documentation in order to file a complaint with the shipping provider in order to get a refund.
