Synergy - A connection among the individual items that it is better than what each one would be individually.

The synergy created by the careful melding and manipulation of individual elements fascinates me and the design potential is endless and exciting. My design process is heavily influenced by my studies of geometry and proportion as design tools and my experience as a Landscape Architect, mixing and balancing tone, texture and form. As might be expected many of my designs are organic in nature. However, I also love the clean lines of structured geometries which show up in my designs from time to time. For that reason I don't like to categorize my design style.

I work with Argentium Sterling Silver often accenting it with 14k yellow and rose golds, copper and/or gemstones. Details are then further enhanced with varying degrees of patina applications. These materials are melded together using traditional silversmith techniques including soldering, fusing and forging. Each piece is handmade from raw materials so though many designs can be duplicated, each piece is uniquely singular. I often head to the studio with ideas in my head of what I anticipate making. And then again, it's not unusual to find myself following the path being made by the metal itself.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if you would like to customize any of my designs.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

• Never wear jewelry in chlorinated water or when working with household chemicals. These chemicals can react with the metal, stones/pearls and/or degrade solder joints. Chlorine, especially at high temperatures, can permanently damage or discolor your gold jewelry.
• Remove jewelry, especially rings and bracelets, when doing rough work or working with chemicals, including household cleaning chemicals.
• Remove jewelry before showering. Soap can cause a film to form, making it appear dull and dingy.
• Do not use dip cleaners for jewelry with gemstones/pearls or pieces with a patina.
• Routinely wiped down with a polishing cloth designed for silver use such as Goddard’s Silver Polishing Cloths

Custom and personalized orders

I welcome Custom Design Orders. We will work together to create a piece of jewelry unique to you. As such, there will be a $50 non-refundable design fee that will be applied to the total cost of the piece when purchased. All custom orders require a NON-refundable deposit of approximately half of the purchase price once we are ready to begin construction of your special piece of jewelry. The remaining balance will be paid prior to shipment. Custom orders generally take longer to complete. We will quote a delivery window after the details of the custom design have been approved.

Color of Materials

Differences among computer resolutions make it difficult to guarantee that the color you see in an image is the actual color of the piece. I do my best to capture the true colors of each piece and provide a number of images that will hopefully provide a realistic sense of the hue and tone.
