About LegacyWoodDesigns

Sales 2,024
On Etsy since 2016

A socially anxious introvert who wants nothing more than to make people feel comfortable being who they are; because we’re all some kind of weird.

What is an LWD CREEP?

\ ˈkrēp \
Definition of Creep
1 : to move slowly and carefully, in order to avoid being heard or noticed

2 : an imperfect wooden cut-out that’s a reminder for you to always be true to yourself

One day I set out to cut a perfect little wooden animal. After I finished cutting the first one, I looked down in utter disappointment. It just looked weird—uneven & lopsided, it was the lumpiest, bumpiest thing I had ever seen. It looked more creepy than cute.

A complete fail. It didn’t measure up. It wasn’t good enough. So, I threw it to the side and swore to never think about it again.

But then I realized how often we can feel this way about ourselves.

Society is so quick to tell us we don’t measure up—making us feel unwanted, unseen, outcasted, and simply not good enough. This leaves us with the desire to creep through life in a way that allows us to avoid being heard or noticed so our flaws go undetected.

The irony?
The “imperfections” we often try to hide are the qualities that are most beautiful about who we are.

So I picked up my creepy creature and decided to embrace it in all of it’s lopsided glory.

The now appropriately named, Creeps, stand as a reminder to always be yourself no matter what society tells you. Embrace who you are because the world needs YOU… including all of your weird, lumpy, bumpy imperfections!

My signs are not recommend for hanging outdoors.
