About

Lemon Lane Organics -- Stylish and Sustainable!

When I was very young, only about 6 or so, my mother, patient soul that she is, taught me to crochet a chain. I could crochet a very long chain...but that was all! A few years later, my grandmother taught me how to make rag rugs using strips of old cloth sewn together and a large hook made by my grandfather from a tree branch. I still have that hook, and I treasure it now that Grandpa is gone to be with the Lord.

I've learned a great deal more about crocheting since then, and I'm even branching out and knitting a bit here and there! After my little boy was born, we found he had extremely sensitive skin and eczema due to sensitivities to things in food and our environment. As I researched ways to deal with this challenge, I became more and more interested in natural health, "real food" and organic products. And I found that many other moms care about the same things I do! We don't want to expose our little ones (or ourselves) to more unhealthy chemicals than necessary, and we want to be good stewards of the earth God gave us so that our children have a beautiful, healthy place to grow and thrive!

And that is why I started Lemon Lane Organics! Here you will find only the best handmade accessories for your little one and your home, all made from yarn produced from organically farmed plants and animals. All the materials I use are natural and sustainable. Many of the yarns I use are also dyed using environmentally friendly methods. So you can feel good about shopping at Lemon Lane, for so many reasons!

Custom Orders

If you are looking for something specific that I do not have listed, I would be happy to create a custom listing for you! Custom order turn around time is usually about two weeks, depending on availability of yarns for your item. If you are interested in arranging a custom order, please click on "Request Custom Item" and let me know what you would like! Once we have discussed the details of your request, I will set up a custom listing reserved for you. I will begin working on your custom order once you have completed purchase of the item and your payment has cleared. Once I have your order finished, I can send photos of the finished item for your approval before shipping if you would like.

Although I am a trade-friendly shop, I do not generally accept trades as payment for custom items.
