Announcement   Hello is it ME you're looking for? I am in the process of moving my best selling items to a new website - please visit me at Lennymud dot com if there is an item you are not seeing here.

In my handmade pottery shop you will find ceramic mugs, ceramic bowls, ceramic miniatures as well as fine art prints. New handmade pottery added often. I am telling you all this so I can move up in Google's search engine.

Lenny is the name of my studio cat. I make the pots, Lenny breaks them. This way, I never run out of shelf space.

Lenny is not for sale. Probably Not.

Want a look behind the scenes? I am thrilled to be featured in the Etsy blog here

About

Quirky Ceramics and Fine Art

Lenny is the name of my studio cat. I make the pots and Lenny breaks them: this way I never run out of shelf space.

Lenny is not for sale. Probably not.

I know my shop name makes me sound like a 50 year old man who smokes cigars, but I am a female who is sometimes told that she looks ten years younger than her real age. (My husband says the nicest things in the dark. When he's drunk.) I am the mother to two small, adorable children that I like to call The Spawn. They provide much of the inspiration for my work, as well as for getting out of the house sometimes. ( Like when I realize no one else in the whole house is capable of changing a roll of toilet paper but me. )

I like to make stuff. Sometimes I like to work with clay and other days I like to draw or paint. I work a busy day job as a designer for a line of ceramics sold worldwide--Etsy is a hobby, or perhaps a midlife crisis. It brings me joy and I hope the things I make bring you the same.

My darling husband helps me with packing and shipping but i do the rest. Kinda like at home. (I'm kidding, Honey.) (PS: the laundry hamper is located to the right of your dresser. Just sayin.)

My ceramics are made from two kinds of clay: earthenware and stoneware. I use a variety of methods to make the items I sell: wheel thrown, handbuilt and upcycled--as well as a variety of decorative techniques: free hand painting, screened design and design transfers. Regardless of the materials or technique, you can be sure that the item you purchase is 100% lead free and safe to place in the dishwasher or microwave. I work with all non toxic, eco friendly materials and try to purchase from local suppliers whenever possible. Everything is made with Mud, Sweat & Tears...mostly sweat.

And yes, it's ok if you call me Lenny, everybody does.

I have two other Etsy shops which may or may not be open-
http://www.shehaswings.etsy.com - vintage and fine art
http://www.lorriemud.etsy.com - supplies

I am thrilled to have been featured by Etsy on their blog (with much better pictures than I could ever take, btw) here https://blog.etsy.com/en/2014/behind-the-scenes-with-lenny-mud/?ref=fp_blog_title

OK, so I'm not really a cat: just happened to name my shop after the kitters that works here at the studio keeping us mouse-free. It's likely that I chose the name because he was lying on top of the keyboard at the time I opened my Etsy account.

Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

My items are dishwasher and microwave safe. They are kiln fired and I use only lead free non toxic materials.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I package for safety- I wrap items in bubble wrap and nestle them on a bed of clean recycled brown kraft paper within a box. I am always happy to include your note instead of a receipt- please leave that info at checkout. I am sorry but I do not gift wrap.

Wholesale availability

please inquirel

If you entered an incorrect shipping address

Buyers are responsible for the cost to reship the item if they enter an incorrect address at checkout.

Expedited Shipping Options

The average mug weighs 2 lbs when packaged to ship- expedited shipping can be cost prohibitive- often 3-4 x the original cost. Requests to expedite can also slow down the process as I wait for additional payment. If you need an item for a specific date the best thing to do is leave that date for me at checkout. I ship most items within 1 day of receiving the order and USPS Priority us usually very fast: 1-2 days East Coast, 3-5 days West.
