Announcement   I love to create original works and exploring different styles of art. You will find a variety in my paintings. I am inspired by impressionism and ancient Japanese art.
**If you see something you like in my shop but would like a different size or color, I can create a custom painting for you. Click on "REQUEST A CUSTOM ITEM" on the left hand side of the shop.

***WANT TO SEE HOW THE ARTWORK WILL LOOK ON YOUR WALL? Just convo me with a photo of the wall where you plan to hang the painting. (please include something in the picture to scale from like a sofa or a ruler). I will send back a picture with how the painting will look like, approximately scaled, but close :) It also helps you see how the painting goes with your furnishings and wall color!

The painting is wonderful and the colors look exactly the same as in the picture (I ordered the "Gray" one). Luba sent us pictures before shipping, so we could have still have comments, but we were happy with the first version :)

About

Art from the heart

I love art and have been painting since I was 6 years old. The art gene is passed through generations in my family.
Every painting you see in my studio shop took its beginning as an idea, a drawing with notes in my sketch book and eventually as a fully detailed finished work of art. This process takes months and sometimes years.
My art used to be only realism. I made oil paintings of landscapes, portraits and still life paintings as close to reality as possible. But over the years I came to appreciate a wider spectrum of art. My old paintings are very different from the art I made over the last 5 years. The change happened because of an art teacher I had. The simple thing she taught me is that a brush stroke has a lot to say. I know it sounds basic, it is also pretty deep. It is then that I FELL IN LOVE with impressionist art. I felt indifferent toward it, but all changed when I saw the paintings in person at an on-loan exhibit of impressionist artworks from all over the US at the Joslyn art museum. Impressionist art has taught me that art is more than just a copy of an object or a person. It has another level. An emotion of the brushstroke, a mood. Something that a photograph just can't duplicate. It was a new way to feel about art for me.
It has really influenced the way I see art and the way I paint. I might have possibly checked out every book about impressionist art from the library, but seriously, photographs just don't do them justice. I now try to use every opportunity to see impressionist art collections in person where ever I travel. I have now seen most of the largest impressionist collections at major museums.

What I have learned: art really can influence people's emotions, it can set a tone to a place and communicate deeper than just the top layer of paint. It has a "feeling" to it. That is why I want to create art that portrays positive emotions of peace, serenity, natural beauty and happiness to people. I get inspired by nature, by the details and the beauty of God's creation around me.

The profile picture is an oil painting I made of my best friend. She always encouraged me to create art and was the first collector of my art. I wish everyone a friend like that :)

I describe my art in full detail and post several photos of it, overall views and close ups. I also offer a no-charge option to see the artwork "photoshopped" on a photograph of your wall prior to purchase. My art works are one of kind pieces, majority are the only versions in existence. I care about my paintings, and that is why I am willing to take the time to help you figure out if the artwork is something just right for your needs.

I make a diligent effort to represent the colors as accurately as possible, but every monitor settings are different, so it is impossible for me to guarantee that the painting colors will be exact as you see on your monitor.

The only cases in which returns will be accepted are if the artwork arrives damaged by carrier or if I had made a mistake in my listing/description. I will try my best to work with you on resolving any issues. Please keep in mind that it is standard for art galleries and artists to not accept returns of original art.

*All shipping/ handling and associated fees are non-refundable.
