Bursts of Celebration In an Envelope
In the fall of 2009, as a Marketing Communications Specialist for a pin-up inspired women's retail chain, I began to design my own collection of paper goods on the side and used them for my personal correspondence. My friends from around the globe liked them and inquired about the pricing, thus, my first Etsy store, GKkards was born.
I later on re-established GKkards in December 2010 and renamed it as Letter Parade which better captures my love for paper, the good ol' mail, and the kind of nostalgia one gets from a street parade. I wanted to bring a subtle burst of celebration in an envelope.
