My name is Nadine Tetreault, and I am a graphic designer, entrepreneur and creative spirit. I love creating beautiful one of a kind items. I operate LifeInAThread from Peachtree City, GA and enjoy every minute that I spend crafting my items. I started LifeInAThread after creating the bouquets, boutonniere, center pieces and decor for my own wedding. I crafted most of the accessories for my big day because I wanted something unique.
So many items purchased for weddings are thrown away after the big day. Therefore I am committed to creating quality items for other inspired people.
I firmly believe in using high-quality materials. I am always looking for unique materials and textures. Many of my items are created with up cycled material because I am passionate abut creating truly unique pieces with a purpose. When I am creating, I always ask myself, "Is this something that I would be happy with?" Each flower is hand created unless a special request is made for something else. I have high standards, and I think that is the best kind of quality control!
My Story....This is where is gets personal. I started making Kanzashi flowers because I have a hard time sleeping as a result of an 8 year battle with Lyme disease. LifeInAThread has been a welcome distraction from the pain I face in my battle with Lyme. The proceeds from my shop help to fund my treatment. I am passionate about lyme awareness and spend as much time as I can researching in order to help others in my same situation. I am so thankful for the ability to be able to create and make something beautiful out of a difficult situation. Having this limitation had pushed me forward and caused me to have more drive, determination and compassion for others.
