Very happy with my purchase (so much so that I just bought 2 more to gift to some friends)! It arrived quickly and well packaged and looks devilishly adorable on my fridge. High quality magnet, too. Lovely work and I'm sure I'll be buying more items in the future.

Gorgeous! The colors chosen and how they were used make it a piece that's strikingly beautiful and of course very functional as well. Thanks so much!

Motivation & Inspiration
I started working with resin in March 2020 because, like most people during the pandemic lockdown, I had to find a new activity that I could do at home. Usually, when I try a new hobby (and I try new hobbies a lot), I get really obsessed for a few weeks and then burn out and never touch it again. But to my surprise, that didn’t happen this time! Epoxy resin can be a challenging medium for many reasons--you have to create your designs upside down and/or in reverse, there is a finite amount of time to complete your project before the resin starts to cure, and there is a LOT of waiting involved. But these are all the reasons that have kept me interested. Being forced to wait for results has kept me from burning out, and the quasi-engineering challenges of figuring out a plan/process in advance is really stimulating for me. After a few months I started running out of room to store my completed projects and since I’d sold a few pieces to friends and family already, I decided to try my hand at selling them to a larger market. Thus, Lightbringer Boutique was born in November 2020!
I try to create beautiful pieces that are also practical or usable in some way and as I’ve developed my artistic style I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from the aesthetics of gothic melodrama, which is really no surprise to the people who know me. Since I was little I've gravitated toward stories and art with a rich, dark, and dramatic atmosphere. As a youngster I had (and still have) a particular fondness for Grimm's Fairy Tales as well as the Phantom of the Opera--when I was about 10 years old I even went through a significant "Phan" fiction writing phase! Through my teenage years my interests expanded to include things like Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, the poetry and paintings of William Blake, and the Cthulhu mythos. As an adult that trend has continued and I've also developed an intense curiosity towards magick and the occult. While I do not claim to be a practicing witch or magician, I've certainly dabbled and have great respect for those who follow a magickal path. With all that in mind, it makes perfect sense that my creations primarily include divination tools and practical home decor items with a gothic flair.
If you’ve read this far, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your interest in my work! It brings me a great deal of joy to create these items, and immense satisfaction to know that they are venturing out into the world to be enjoyed by others. Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
I can make a customized version of almost anything you see in my shop. Just send me a message through Etsy for a quote! Let me know what type of item you want and describe how you want it to look. Once the design and price are set I will create a reserved shop listing for you to purchase. All custom orders must be paid for in advance and will be ready to mail within two weeks (but usually much faster).
There are some important steps you can take to preserve the beauty of your pieces:
1. KEEP OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT! The UV rays will cause colors to fade and the resin to yellow. Do not keep outside, in a window sill, or in an area that gets prolonged direct sun. Regular indoor usage in a room with indirect natural light is fine!
2. Keep away from direct heat which can soften the material and cause it to warp. This is most important for flat or thin pieces. Candle holders will hold up great to regular usage, but I recommend only burning tea light candles and avoiding direct contact with the flame.
3. Clean pieces with a lens wipe or soft cloth and gentle detergent. Do not use alcohol or abrasive cloth which can dull or scratch the surface.
How can I get in touch with you?
I would love to hear from you! If you have questions, feedback, ideas, or just want to say hi you can get in touch with me by clicking the "Contact" link under my photo at the top of this page or you can email email@example.com.
You can also follow me @LightbringerBoutique on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest if you'd like to see regular updates about my shop.
Do you offer free shipping?
Unfortunately I cannot offer free shipping with my current business model. Most shops that have free shipping increase prices on the individual items to recover the cost of postage, boxes, packing material, tape, etc. I keep the prices of my items as low as I can and shipping is always whatever the actual postage cost is...if there are any overages on shipping I always issue a refund for the extra amount. By doing it this way you actually end up saving money on multi item orders because you only have to pay for shipping once instead of having that cost added to the price of each item. There are many tough decisions like this involved in running a hand made business and I always aim to keep things fair for both myself and my customers!
I live in the Coeur d'Alene area, can I pick up my item instead of paying for shipping?
If you are local to the Coeur d'Alene area and would like to arrange to pick up your item(s) instead of paying for shipping, please CONTACT ME BEFORE placing your order. The Etsy ordering system does not have a local pick-up option so we will need to make alternate arrangements.
