5 out of 5 starsI cannot stress enough how wonderful packed the item was for shipping. I was worried about ordering something so fragile but the packing was superb and the item was exactly as described and brought so much joy to the recipient!

5 out of 5 starsThis item is personally meaningful due to my family's railroad history; I bought it as a gift for a relative. We've had to delay Christmas due to two rounds of illness, so I haven't seen the platter itself yet, partially because it was sent so thoroughly and carefully wrapped in bubblewrap by the seller. Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsThe plate was just like in the picture. And the cup and saucer as well. I'm so thankful that the package arrived very well wrapped. This seller took time and detail to wrap and protect this package because usps just toss things around. Thank you!

5 out of 5 starsThe mug is in pristine condition and shipped super carefully! I used to go to the Kettle with my dad as a kiddo and I'm so grateful to have found this as a memento.

Rediscovering the past - One piece at a time
We are a husband and wife team, married since 1999 and having fun together since 1993. Steve went to the US Coast Guard Academy then served 20 years in various positions and locations in the United States and Puerto Rico. He still keeps a “regulation” hair-cut and continues to have a love for all things nautical. Camille spent the first few years of our marriage as a Coast Guard wife with the first of those years in Alaska. “Just Married, Alaska or Bust!”. Camille has been working as a business analyst for a local financial services company for the past 13 years and is a volunteer for the Chevron Houston Marathon. For the last 5 or so years, fun for us has revolved around vintage and antiquing related activities: browsing antique and consignment stores, attending estate sales, trade days, auctions and everything in between. This brings us to today, why we’re here on Etsy… the crazy truth is that Steve left his job as a merchant mariner so that we could be together on dry land and begin a business doing what we truly enjoy. The aim of our Etsy shop is to offer vintage and antique goods that we find interesting at a fair price while preserving and passing on some history about our offerings. We believe that items from the past all have a story; we spend a considerable amount of time researching each item we offer and provide as much useful information about them as possible. We like to call this “History for the Preservationist”. When you buy an antique or vintage item from us, you become the storyteller who passes the information to others. We hope you find as much joy along the way as we have found.

Shipping
We ship most items USPS PRIORITY MAIL whenever possible which includes $50 of insurance. If you want additional insurance convo us and we will make arrangements. Note that USPS now charges between $8-10 extra if a package is marked FRAGILE. If you want to pay extra for a FRAGILE mark convo us before making the purchase. Books we ship via USPS MEDIA MAIL and insurance is an option if you convo us before making the purchase.
Item Descriptions
My reputation is very important to me, so I take special care in describing and photographing each item and its condition in detail. These are antique or vintage items, NOT NEW so some wear should be expected. After all, many have had a long and happy life.
Gift wrapping and packaging
Most of our items are double wrapped in bubble wrap, surrounded by 2 inches of plastic peanuts, placed in a USPS priority box and the closures double taped. The possibly of fragile items breaking in transit is very low, but it can happen.
At this point we do not offer gift wrapping.
