At LightsFantastic we LOVE vintage lighting, your comments and your business!
These lovely vintage lighting pieces are not only utilitarian (hey, it gets dark--we need light!), but are collectable works of art. They add beauty to our homes, and set the stage for our lives.
I accept Paypal. You can use your credit card or bank account to pay without sharing any personal financial information with me. It's safe & its easy!
IF you are in Alaska, Hawaii or outside the continental U.S., please convo me with your city, country & postal code info before purchase for your correct shipping fee.
INTERNATIONAL shipping will be considered on an individual basis. I've shipped with great success to Canada and Australia. But it depends on the specific light and country. Please convo me with your request.
I ship either USPS, UPS or FedX ground services, whichever is most cost effective; and within 3 business days of cleared payment--usually sooner!
I'm on the West Coast. Because Etsy currently has no way to calculate a Buyer's shipping rate to NY as opposed to a Buyer's shipping rate to CA, I enter the most expensive shipping rate.
IF the actual shipping cost to your location is less, I refund the difference (withholding a very small amount for packing materials).
IF the actual amount is more than what I have quoted, I pay that out of my pocket. I do not make $$ on shipping --- unfortunately, it is costly to ship large items.
Every item travels FULLY INSURED to its new home.
I pack with extreme care, but if any damage occurs during transit, the Buyer has only to file a claim with the carrier with photos (sometimes you need to bring the broken item to the carrier), and you will be reimbursed for the damage. Your investment is protected.
Once your vintage gem is on the way home to you, I email the tracking number, so you'll know when to expect it.
If you need to have an item quickly, please request a quote for priority shipping.
I pack items using recycled materials. I never purchase styrofoam, but if I have it, I put it to good use protecting your vintage treasure! Please recycle it forward--it will be here for the next hundred years--let's make it work for us!
Refunds and Exchanges
Please take the time to carefully read an item's description and review its measurements and photos. They are part of the description.
I am always willing to provide you with more photos or answer your questions!
If there is ANY problem whatsoever with your purchase, please convo me immediately--I want you to be pleased as punch!
My goal is for your purchase to exceed your expectations!
These are vintage items, and a certain amount of 'chippiness' and wear is not only normal, it is often desirable. I describe everything to the best of my ability and strive to fully disclose the history of the item if I know it.
AND because vintage chandeliers and lights are bulky to ship--not to mention expensive and time consuming--I will only accept a return & refund your purchase price if I have grossly misrepresented an item.
Additional Policies and FAQs
The photographs are taken without any special-effects lenses, and posted without any artistic manipulation. If you'd like additional photos, please just ask!
I usually use clear glass bulbs (25 watt) for the photos; they are are not included. They're fragile to ship, and broken glass sprinkled throughout a box makes it far too easy for a person to slice their hand open during unpacking. Bulbs are inexpensive--a visit to the ER is not!
Vintage lighting should always be inspected by your licensed electrician before it is installed or put to use in your home. All vintage lighting in this shop is sold "as is" and without warranty.
