Making unique items is a way of life.

Growing up, I was surrounded by the makings of my mother--she favored cross stitch kits but turned them into everything under the sun: Christmas ornaments, framed wall hangings, baby blankets, pillow cases, tapestries, photo album covers, handkerchiefs, and on and on. I'm so delighted by the heirlooms she's made for me, and looking back on my childhood it's obvious that things always had her personal, loving touch.

As an adult myself, I've found a creative outlet in quilting. I took a class in high school (really, to just fill the credit) and fell in love. I'm now totally obsessed with fabric and arranging and rearranging, finding a new pattern or creating one myself. I learned the old-fashioned technique of hand-stitching the top with perle cotton, connecting the modern-design quilts with memories of the past. My quilts are a little different--and a little imperfect--because of this technique, which I think makes them all the sweeter.

Since high school I've branched out into other wares, and with the pandemic I became an expert mask maker. I hope in my shop you are excited to find unique and quirky quilts, patchwork pouches and sleeves, colorful masks, the odd earring or two, and inspiring art pieces. As an environmentalist, I do my best to not waste anything and repurpose items wherever possible.

Thank you for visiting my shop. I hope you find some heirloom-worthy pieces here, made with lots of love!

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

When washing your quilt for the first time, I recommend either handwashing in a tub or large sink with mild detergent, or soaking the quilt thoroughly before washing on cold, delicate in a washing machine. After this first wash, the quilt can be placed in the washing machine on delicate and cold without prior soaking.

Your quilt may "grow threads" with use--simply trim these threads but do not tug on them. They are threads from the back of the top layer, and though I do my best to trim them, some may make their way earthside.

I will consider custom orders--please message me for details. I apologize in advance if I do not have the capacity to fulfill a custom order, but I will let you know up front.

Sizing details

Although I aim to make my quilts standard bed sizes, most of my work is freeform and the end product dimensions may vary. I will always list the actual dimensions and a "best for" sizing recommendation. But it's really up to you and your preference!
