Hi! My name is Mackenzie and I'm currently a student with a big passion for all things handmade. This all started at a young age, but recently I've had some experiences that brought these feelings right to the surface.

In both 2014 and 2015, I went on a short-term trip to Uganda, East Africa. And I was captivated. The hills, the food, the people, the laughter, the conversation,... all of it made my heart so at home. I spent so much time getting to know women and children who had great passions for creating things with their hands. Some girls sewed, some men painted, some women weaved baskets, but all of them had great passion to experience the joy of making something with their hands - I guess that has to be similar to how God feels about us. Sitting with these Ugandan artisans and encouraging one another while we create sparked something within me.

So while I may no longer be sitting in a little house I grew to love and laughing with men and women who became my close friends, I can still create and I can still encourage. I can create using the gifts I have and hopefully reach through this screen to encourage you that God has created you with intent purpose. He makes no mistakes and He loves you with a love that doesn't stop.

Since I can attribute much of what I'm doing to what God showed my through the people in a faraway country, I want Lily Like Designs to be a business that always looks to invest in people. Every purchase counts because 20% of all profits will be given away to ministries and organizations across the globe.
