I received the dress Friday! I LOVE IT. I like unique things and this is perfect!!!!! Lily sent a photo of the fabrics and the dress pinned up so the final results could be approved. She is a joy to work with!!! I am so happy!!!!

Absolutely love my dress. The designer was very informative on each detail going into my dress and made sure my needs where met down to the last detail. Once the order was given it did not take long at all for me to get it. I would highly recommend lily whitepad.

A hunter/gatherer who wonders, "What if?" and puts things together

I've done so many different things over the years, each satisfying an urge to create. I earned a degree in television/radio/film from Syracuse University, owned a restaurant, wrote advertising copy, taught in an after-school program for gifted and talented children, published an NFL newsletter, designed perennial gardens, hybridized daylilies, and now am retired from my job as an editor and graphic designer for a nonprofit organization.

Then the bug to make my own thing hit me again. I've always loved different textiles: the tweed of a man's suit, the patina of taffeta ribbon, the landscape of brocade, the hand of soft wool. And I loved hunting for good, unique, non-commercial-fabric-store vintage fabrics. Plus, I'm an environmentalist who hates to waste. A few light bulbs clicked on, and Lily Whitepad was born. (Lily Whitepad is one of those things a family member makes up on a long drive to Washington, DC, when you're a silly teen. It stuck.)

**AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CUSTOM ORDERS: Custom orders require payment in full before I begin work and generally are not returnable; however I may, depending on the item and/or situation, issue store credit.

If you cancel your custom order, you will forfeit an amount equal to the time and materials already spent.
Domestic shipping is via the United States Postal Service using First Class or Priority Mail, depending on the package size. I do ship internationally, however both the UK and Italy are not import friendly and charge huge fees.

Please keep in mind that any DUTIES or IMPORT TAXES levied by customs in your country are YOUR responsibility.
Refunds and Exchanges
I've operated a business of some kind for many years and have always guaranteed my work and my customers' happiness. If you are unhappy with an item once you've received it (other than custom orders) or if it doesn't fit, you must notify me within 24 hours that you are dissatisfied and postmark the unused item within 4 days of receipt with delivery confirmation (tracking number). The item must be in its original condition. Customer pays return shipping. Your refund will be for the purchase price only. I will be fair with you and expect you to be fair with me.

Generally speaking, custom orders are not returnable unless I think I can resell the item, which mostly would be handbags and accessories. Other returns may be considered and given store credit only, at my discretion. (For wedding orders, see Payment Policy above.)
