It all started in 2011, when my daughter was 'graduating' from preschool. She is a bit of a fashionista, and she wanted a cute new dress for the graduation ceremony. We went to the mall and she just couldn't find what she wanted. She settled on just wearing a dress she already had.
That night, I went through my closet-looking for inspiration...And I found it. I had this white summery skirt that I never wore. I thought- " I bet I could make this into a dress." So I got out my little .99 cent sewing kit, found some black ribbon, and got working. When I was done, my fingers hurt from poking myself so many times, but my daughter had a new dress and she LOVED it. at the graduation, she got so many compliments, that I started thinking maybe I could make more dresses and sell them. I eventually got a sewing machine and taught myself how to use it-and I haven't stopped creating.
