Supongo que siempre viví dentro de mi cabeza, o mejor dicho, de mi imaginación. Prácticamente me crié entre libros: leía durante las comidas y el té; los libros me acompañaban durante el día y soñaba con las historias que me susurraban al oído por la noche. Así que era solo cuestión de tiempo, supongo, antes de que quisiera contar historias yo mismo: historias sobre todos los bichos y personajes que vivían en mi cabeza. La única herramienta disponible entonces era un lápiz, así que eso fue lo que usé, llenando página tras página de cuadernos de bocetos con personajes y paisajes extraños y peculiares.
Y entonces, un día, poco después de Navidad, vi una repetición de "Pesadilla antes de Navidad" y eso fue todo: me enganché; me obsesioné al instante. Recuerdo que pensé: "Eso es lo que yo también quiero hacer". Así que empecé a buscar material que pudiera convertir las imágenes de mi cabeza en 3D y que fuera maravilloso tocarlas, tanto para mí como para ti.
Me inspiro en todo tipo de historias, literatura y libros, películas stop motion, arte, ilustraciones y naturaleza, por nombrar solo algunos.
Soy más feliz cuando trabajo en un nuevo personaje en mi tiempo libre o por la noche después del trabajo. Y si mis creaciones también alegran a alguien, le hacen sonreír o le hacen sentir un poco menos solo al final de un largo día, entonces mi trabajo está hecho.

I guess, I always lived inside my head – my imagination that is. I was practically raised by books: I read when I had my meals and tea; books kept me company in the daytime and I dreamed about the stories they would whisper in my ears at night. So it was only a matter of time, I guess before I wanted to tell stories myself – stories about all the critters and characters that lived inside my head. The only tool available to me then was a pencil – so that’s what I used, filling page after page of sketchbooks with queer and quirky characters and landscapes.
And then one day – it was shortly after Christmas –I watched a rerun of “The Nightmare before Christmas” and that was it: I was hooked; instand obsession. I remember thinking: that’s what I want to do, too. So I started looking for material that could turn the images in my head into 3D best and are just wonderful to touch – for me and you.
I’m inspired by all kinds of stories, literature and books, stop motion films, art, illustrations and nature to name but a few.
I’m happiest while working on a new character in my spare time or in the evening after work. And if my creations happen to make someone else happy, too, smile or feel a little less lonely at the end of a long day, then my work is done.
