My Life Can Be Counted in Links
I can't recall a time in my life when I haven't done some kind of crafting. From making my own clothes (because that's what we did) and making my kid's clothes (out of necessity) to making candles and leaded glass windows, I just love the satisfaction I feel when I have finished a project. Ok, so the results haven't always been perfect (don't even ask about my pottery experience), but they have always been satisfying. I have realized over the years that it isn't so much what you end up with but how you ended up there that matters. The point is to embrace your creativity, laugh at your mistakes, and maybe learn something along the way.
A few years ago I had to begin wearing a medic alert bracelet. Oh, the horror of realizing you are growing older! I began designing and creating my own and loved the results so much, I branched out to designing other bracelets. After being asked for the seemingly umpteenth time "where did you get that bracelet?", I began designing for others.
Then I discovered Etsy! I love, love, love the idea of creative people gathering together (albeit via the Internet) and sharing their visions, their joy, their designs. I feel linked to every artisan who offers up her/his creations and am grateful for the opportunity to share mine as well.
Owner, Maker, Designer
By day I am a virtual office manager for a real estate group, by night I do what I really love...design and create jewelry.
I invite you to visit my blog. It started out being about all things crafty but has involved into a blog about life in general and me in specific. It is, as the title suggests, My Life in Links. I hope you enjoy it.
