What do you want to be when you grow up?

The most honest and eloquent way I’ve ever been able to answer this question is: “I just want to make stuff!” Over the years this realm of “stuff” has manifested as paintings, drawings, photographs (film and digital), clothing, bags, cut-and-paste collage, graphic design, sock creatures, stories, half-finished children’s books, cynical rantings, and now, thanks to a little bit of savings and a screen printing press found on Craigslist, I’ve happily taken up shop in the realm of screen printing, and think I’ll make myself cozy here for a while.

While my life has been an ode to creativity in some form or another, LintHound is my first bona fide attempt at making a living at it. I believe in the art and love of the hand made. Everything in the shop is customizable – pick your lint, pick your print. Every order is given the royal hand-printed (and in the case of my pillow covers hand-cut and -constructed), attention-to-detail treatment. Most designs in the shop are my own, but I’m also thrilled to employ some family and friends as collaborative artists, whose work is amazingly weird and/or inspiring, and right up my alley.

As my baby of a shop grows, I look forward to adding more and more artwork and items, including a wider variety of shirt colors and styles, hoodies, some handmade clothes, who knows? The gears are always turning. I eagerly look forward to seeing what “stuff” they crank out, and hope you do too.

When not screen printing, working full time, and homeschooling two brilliant boys, I try to keep sane with any form of art I can conjure, geeking it up with said boys, adoring my endlessly supportive husband, listening to music or ravenously searching for new music, daydreaming about traveling the world, reading reading reading even when I’m deliriously tired and can hardly see straight at the end of the day, and, some way or another, always finding a way to squeeze in time enough to watch a hockey game (or complain all summer long that it’s not hockey season).

I'm convinced, for better or worse, that I was born with creative bones. I'm also convinced that they have ADD, and I have a hell of a time keeping them in line. LintHound is my attempt to keep them focused and professionally honed.
