Wonderful frame, it's proven to be an absolute favorite prop to use in photo shoots. Thanks a million for this outstanding piece.

Really cute and fun magnets! Such a great idea to use vintage buttons. Great customer service and very fast delivery. Thanks!

About

People often ask me why I began Madame Olivastor.

http://www.olivastor.com/new-blog

I've been very lucky to have clear skin needing little to no care for most of my life. In my teens and twenties I confess I rarely removed my make-up before bedtime, and Dial soap was my cleanser every morning.

I began to notice signs of age. Once my 30 hit, I started to experiment with grocery store brands. Because I am very sensitive to perfumes, it became a constant battle to find products that not only "worked" but didn't make me feel like I had daggers boring into my brain from the chemicals used for scent. As you already know, many brands discontinue items and change formulas at will adding to the frustration of an already frustrating process.

After my favorite cream cleanser (with microbeads!) was discontinued, I decided to try a very expensive (to me) established brand that might rhyme with "Lots of pee" and had cutsie little faith-based names for their products. I spent $250 on their system of retinol infused pads, cream, and eye schmear.

The pictures are the result. It is just as painful as it looks, and that wasn't even the worst of it. When my skin started to develop pustules, peel, and burn when the air hit it I stopped taking pictures.

Meanwhile, my husband was becoming a safety razor aficionado. One day he handed me a bottle of expensive pre-shave oil and asked me if I could make something similar. I looked at the ingredient list and laughed. Of course I could.

That experiment led to lots of reading about the benefits of oils for the skin. I adapted formulas for myself and for my friends. People really liked the products, and I liked knowing that my favorite skincare items would never get discontinued, give me stabby headaches, or put me in the poor-house.

I'm a 44 year old woman. I have acne scars, wrinkles and my nose is red because it won't stop running today. But today there are no painful lesions and I wouldn't hesitate to walk out the door without wearing make up.

The products you see on this website are the products I use every day, and they helped me heal my face.
