Ancient Forms, New Expressions.

Polymer clay challenges me to combine sculptural forms with vibrant colors. The surfaces you see are blends of colored clay without the use of paints or glazes. The intricate patterns, even the tiny eyes, are provided by my own polymer clay millefiori. Metal armatures support the clay from the inside during oven curing. The process of modeling, carving and polishing is time-intensive, yet delightful. The result is a three-dimensional expression of spirit and life to be seen and touched.

Nature, mythology and ancient archaeology inspire me with an abundance of ideas. I refer to all of my female figures as “goddesses” in homage to all women. These small freestanding goddess statues are intimate and domestic, although I see them as monumental and public while working on them.

I want my goddess sculptures to be daily companions, to remind one to reconnect to the beauty, power and mystery in our world. The creative process is truly complete when someone responds to a particular piece with a feeling of recognition and emotional connection.

Care instructions

Polymer clay items can be easily cleaned with plain water and a soft cloth or brush.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Contact me if you would like to add gift wrapping. Items can also be drop shipped directly to the gift recipient.

Packaging multiple items together often reduces the shipping costs, but the variety in sizes postpones the calculations until the actual time of shipping. I will refund any extra cost that exceeds $2.50.
