About

Welcome to my shop.

My goal is to create quality design resources to make your creative process easier.

I won’t bore you with too many details, but the long and short of it is:

– I live and work in Cape Town, South Africa, in a beautiful seaside village.
– I walk my dog twice a day on our local quaint beach.
– I have over 20 years experience in graphic design, and have been running a successful design studio since 2002.
– It’s hard to choose, but I would say I love illustrating the most out of all the things I do.
– I also love dancing.
– My passion is to help create resources for other designers and creatives so they can put their best work out there and hopefully save them time in the process.

My studio is always scattered with brushes, paper, fabric and a few furry pets! My animals are a huge part of my life, and my husband, of course... but the furry children run the roost for sure. They are the inspiration behind much of my work.

I hope you enjoy browsing my shop, thank you for taking the time to view.

Frequently asked questions

How can I use the graphics and how many projects can I use them in?

All my products fall under the Standard Licence which may be used in One Commercial Project. This includes using it in an End Product for sale where the lifetime sales are less than 500 units. Should you wish to use the same graphic in a different project, or for a different client, a new Standard Licence is required. The only exception to this are my fonts, which can be used in an unlimited number of projects (one seat per license).

I would like to use your graphics in my new logo design and blog, as well as on tags that I send out to my clients with their gifts, does the Standard Licence cover that?

Yes it does. That would be considered as a One Commercial Project for a company’s brand identity, so no additional license is required. Also keep in mind that the graphic/s may not be used in a stand alone fashion. Instead need to form part of a new wider design that incorporates other resources, graphics and/or text.

I create pillows for sale. May I use your graphics to print onto my pillows I sell?

Yes you may. Please bare in mind the graphics may not be used as is in a stand alone fashion, but rather needs to form part of a new wider design that incorporates other graphics and/or text, and not comprise the entire design. For example, you wouldn't be able to just place one of my watercolour graphics on your pillow and sell it like that, you would need to create your own unique design where the graphic forms part of the design, and isn't the entire design. Essentially the graphics are design resources that are meant to enhance your design and not be the entire design.

You may sell up to 500 units under the Standard Licence, once you reach the 500 unit mark, you would need to upgrade to an Extended Licence.

May I use your graphics on a wedding invitation and accompanying stationery I design and print for my client?

Absolutely. A designed wedding stationery suite is considered One Project. You may sell up to 500 units of that suite, including either digital or paper under the Standard Licence. Should you need to exceed 500 units, an Extended Licence is required. If supplied as a digital product, the design needs to be supplied in such a manner where the Original graphic used cannot be extracted by a third party/end user.

What if I need to provide my client or printer with original source files?

You are allowed to provide your printer with source files for the sole purpose of printing your work, provided that once the printing has occurred, the supplied files are deleted from their system. You are not permitted to provide a layered file to clients. Instead they should be provided with the final, flattened designs. If your client requires access to source files to make additional changes to the design, they will require a license of the graphic/font for themselves.

I design and sell posters and greeting cards as digital downloads and printed paper products, may I use these graphics in my items for sale?

Yes you may use the graphics to create One Project for End Products for sale where the lifetime sales are less than 500 units. For example: you may create one design (One Project) that you upload onto Society 6, where that same design may be purchased on various End Products. The design is considered the One Project and not all the variations of the End Product options.

Should you wish to use the same graphic in a new Project you would need to obtain a new Standard Licence. Please also be aware that the graphic/s may not be used as is, in a stand alone fashion, but rather needs to form part of a new wider design that incorporates other resources, graphics and/or text.

I have a shop on Zazzle, where I design templates that the end-user may change and edit for their purposes. May I use the graphics as part of the design of those templates?

Yes you may use the graphics to create One Project for End Products for sale, but restrictions apply. The graphic/s may not be used as is, in a stand alone fashion, but rather needs to form part of a new wider design that incorporates other resources, graphics and/or text, and not constitute the primary integrity of the design. The graphics that form part of the new design have to be flattened and uploaded as a background image where the graphics may not be extracted or moved or customized (for example, you may not upload a watercolour wreath for the end user to move around, instead you would need to design a pre-made flattened background using the wreath as part of a wider, new original design that doesn’t constitute the entire design.

I make scrapbooking kits that include stickers and papers, can I use your designs in my kits.

Yes you may create One End Product design, but restrictions apply. You may not sell any of my patterns or graphics unchanged in a stand alone fashion, but rather needs to form part of a new wider design that incorporates other resources, graphics and/or text, and not constitute the primary integrity of the design. The end result of that design needs to be significantly different than the graphic or pattern you originally purchased. End Products must not be used or sold in a way that is directly competitive with the original Item you purchased. If the kit is a digital product, the files may not be supplied layered, and cannot be extracted by the end user. You may sell up to 500 units of the End Product under the Standard Licence.
