Announcement   Welcome! Here you'll find the latest flashes of creative inspiration from my studio in Phoenix, Arizona. Think playful, retro, vintage, recycled, sustainable. Traditions made contemporary. Inspired by human made ironies and found objects from nature. Supportive of artistic traditions that are passed from the hands of grandmother to grandchild or from my hands to yours. Hopefully some of the items on this site will make you laugh out loud. Hopefully some of the stories that accompany these items will be memorable enough for you to pass along to a friend. I am glad to be part of the community that is etsy.com where we can celebrate and support handmade traditions in a whole new way.

Please convo me if you live outside the United States and would like me to calculate shipping costs and add them to an item before you buy.

I solar dye gorgeous wool roving all summer long(so yes, there is at least one happy artist in Arizona every time the weather forecast hits 110 degrees!). My raw wool comes from Arizona families - free range Navajo Churro sheep and local pasture raised sheep.

I was so excited to receive my custom cozy but the quality is simply not there. Mine arrived and looks nothing like the pictures she has posted.

Shop policies

Last updated on September 30, 2014
All items are handcrafted in my studio with the exception of the kits and thimbles.
I support the following charitable causes with a portion of the proceeds from sales to this shop:
* Sponsorship of an indigenous pottery village in the Rio Napo region of Ecuador, through Kentucky-Ecuador Partners;
* Provide Art & craft supplies for homeless children at a local shelter;
* Support to Community Food Connections, which hosts the Downtown Phoenix Public Market

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
Payment
Payment via PayPal is preferred; money orders also accepted.
Please complete payment within 3 days or contact me within this time frame regarding payment method.
Shipping
PLEASE NOTE: All purchases after Sept 29 will ship on Oct 17.

I normally ship via USPS or UPS within 3 working days after payment is received (usually the day after payment received). For multiple items shipped in the same box, I will refund shipping charges paid beyond the actual shipping cost.

Free shipping is offered on some items as marked; however if you purchase multiple items, you will be charged the shipping cost for the most expensive item

If you are a local customer in Arizona it may be possible for you to arrange local pickup of your items in the Phoenix area - convo me if interested.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me directly regarding any refund or exchange requests. All refund/exchange/repair transactions must be completed within 30 days of purchase. The item(s) you purchase must be returned to me and received before a refund/exchange can be processed. Buyer pays shipping cost on returns for refund/exchange/repair and we will negotiate shipping costs in advance on any items sent back to buyer.
Because custom orders are very difficult to return to my sales inventory, they are not eligible for refund or exchange unless buyer and seller have agreed to this prior to purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
Gift shopping? I'd be happy to help you coordinate shipping to a gift recipient and provide gift wrapping + a personalized card to accompany your purchase.

I am glad to consider custom orders, depending on your needs + the number of other custom orders awaiting completion. Holiday orders should be placed before Nov 1 to assure timely delivery, as I receive a ton of local orders in Nov-Dec. If my schedule does not allow me to accept a custom order from you I can usually refer you to other artists who might be able to assist.

I welcome opportunities to provide handmade items to shops on a wholesale basis with minimum orders of $200. Please contact me directly to discuss.
