Hello, and Welcome to my Etsy Shop!

Thanks for stopping by! I am so excited that you have taken a moment to find out more about my shop, who I am, what it is that I make, and the kinds of things that I create.
It's my pleasure to tell you a little bit about this shop, of mine called Little Paper Notes.

Every since I can remember I've been what I like to call a Maker. I've been drawing and painting since I was a little a girl. When I was old enough in elementary school I discovered and learned how to sew, by hand and on a machine. At the age of 13 my mom gave me my first camera and I absolutely fell in love with photography. These three things have been entwined throughout my life ever since. After studying Fashion Design in college, I started working for clients creating unique and personal hand painted murals, furniture and art pieces for their homes, and businesses. Life moved along as it does and I ended up meeting an awesome man, we got married and started a little family together.

Raising two little monkeys didn't leave much time for creative pursuits, but that creativity never left me, and I began to infuse it into my new life as a mother and share that love with my babies. Taking photos of them, drawing and painting with them as they got older, allowed me to keep a connection to my joy of creating ,as well as share it with my two new loves.

I found time to draw when drawing with them. I would make little sketches on paper of ideas or things that they asked mommy to draw. I drew. I drew little things here and there, on spare paper, on toddler art easels, in colouring books, and on kids craft paper. These little drawing were achievable, and even though they were small and didn't take weeks to finish like those big beautiful murals once did, I still felt their joy. So I created in small ways. I created cute and happy invitations for the kids birthdays, thank you cards, birthday cards, and of course welcome baby cards!
These little hand-drawn paper notes expressed joy on so many levels. There was joy in creating them, joy for the ones viewing them and joy in the announcement of celebration of the event itself.
I really felt the need to continue creating, and drawing these cards, and not only to share them with my family, but with others as well. If they brought me happiness perhaps they will bring a smile to someone else as well, and that was the beginning of Little Paper Notes.

As of today I continue to create these works of happiness, in my home studio. You will find cute card prints (from my original sketches) original art, and art prints in my shop. My main source of inspiration is often mother nature, a life with kids, and pets. You will find beautiful flowers, plant life, birds, and silly little animals up to no good, throughout most of my works. There is often art added into each of my cards. Recently I've begun to add dye cut elements with textured and printed papers into my designs. I couldn't love the process and end results anymore.

I absolutely enjoy everything that I do. It's my passion to draw and to create, and it's my pleasure to share it with you!
