I wanted to share how I turned Verdi into a unicorn! All he needs is a mane, tail & horn instead of antlers. :) Feel free to turn your copy of the pattern into one too. I will have finished unicorns of my own design for sale later in spring ♡

About

The evolution of Lithe-Fider Creatures

I have a long history of being artistic. I went to college for art and design and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation. I love designing characters and costume props, and bringing them to life!

I started making plush around 2002 - the same year I started cosplaying too! It began with a want to make plush of obscure characters from videogames/anime I loved, but there was no plush available to buy. I did all the sewing by hand back then!

As the years went on I started making more and more complex costumes, and my sewing skills developed. I learned to use a sewing machine to sew the main parts - looked so much nicer! At this point I'd only sold sewn accessories like clip on ears, bags, etc...but I also wanted to sell plush. To do this I had to design my own original creatures! I began designing plush that would be my own distinctive look.

After graduating in 2008 I opened an Etsy storefront at the end of that year. Starting in 2009 I began selling at Anime con artist alleys, and now attend 2-3 a year. I opened a dedicated tumblr craft blog in 2012 so people could track my creative process and see when I post new plush for adoption. I don't make a lot of creatures (I AM just one person) so it's good for people to know when new things are posted.

I finally hit the right mark in 2010 when I began making handmade wool felt, and my signature owlets were born. I love the look and feel of soft, quality wool roving, and after collecting a lot of it I kept trying to think of ways to utilize it that was not spinning or knitting (cause I do neither of those things). The unique look, texture, and colors of the handmade wool felt has become one of my trademarks, and is used in most plush I design.

I am so happy so many now follow me and love my work! I appreciate every single person. I ship my creatures all over the world (I have a lot of international fans!). When you buy my plush and other sewn creations, you are buying a one of a kind piece, lovingly designed and made by my hands, and supporting me as an artist for future endeavors!

Shipping
Shipping prices include a small packaging/handling fee (amount proportional to size of the item) for my time / shipping materials.

DOMESTIC items that are $40 and over are sent priority only, as this also insures it for loss/damages. I can ship it with a different carrier like Fedex or UPS if you need it (and you are willing to pay the extra as those cost more). Just ask and I can work out for you!

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
Any customs fees, taxes, tariffs, duties, etc. that may be incurred at the time of delivery are your responsibility, and are at the discretion of your country's tax and import regulations. Also, U.S. postal can NOT INSURE or TRACK international first class mail. I am VERY sorry for the high rates :( but they are cheapest available. I really appreciate every customer and I apologize for this.
Refunds and Exchanges
I make all items with my own high quality standards. With intended use/handling they should be lovable for many years to come! But if you feel there was some fault with my work I will gladly do anything I can to make it right. If you must return something, you can do so within a week of receiving it (item must be in the same condition it arrived) I can refund the original cost but not the shipping costs.
Additional policies and FAQs
"Will you remake ____ ?" I am sorry I do not EXACTLY remake my creatures on request. I may make similar creatures in the future, or even ones with same fabric combos if they were very popular (in the case of things like Chibi quads, narwhals, or Quizzy dragons) but part of what makes my creatures special is they are designed individually, or use fabric that makes it near impossible to recreate anyway (ones made with my handmade wool felt, or dyed felted sweaters).

At this time I also am closed to new commissions until I can catch up with them - it lends itself to my store too often being empty as I work too much on commissions. I will reopen them in the future! :)
