Here's a sneak peak at how I get your order to you safely: Your tag blanket is carefully folded in an organza gift bag, w/ plastic ring & CPSIA-compliant product info card, then sealed in a plastic bag for extra protection inside a waterproof poly mailer.
Finished a stack of Star Wars tag blankets while my kids "napped" (ha! ...not much sleeping) today! I just love these original trilogy designs. :-) May the Force be with you!
Working on these classic Star Wars original trilogy-themed tag blankets to add to my shop--but in the meantime, I have a couple The Force Awakens-themed options listed! May the Force be with you! :-)

About

Raising little dragonslayers.

It started with a blog. I consider myself a full-time mom and a full-time geek, and writing is an outlet for me to share about my own adventures in both realms and where the two intersect. As I've taken the opportunities to begin creatively introducing the things that I love to my own kids (Let's make Star Wars cookies! Look, I made a TARDIS out of your Duplos!), it dawned on me that perhaps I could help other parents share their passions with their kids, too, and my Etsy shop was born.

I started with a few basic baby items in some of my own favorite fandoms, and I'm growing. I hope to continue to offer new items in more fandoms, and I'd love to hear from you if you don't see what you love represented! I look forward to reaching out and helping more parents share their loves with their littlest loved ones.

You can find me at my blog, raisinglittledragonslayers.blogspot.com, and on the Raising Little Dragonslayers Facebook page. Thanks for stopping by! :-)

I'm a full-time mom and a full-time geek. I aim to raise kids that are passionate about the things they love and courageous enough to pursue what matters to them, who live their own adventures and slay their own dragons.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can you have my order ready to ship? How long until it arrives?

I only list finished products (nothing in my shop is made-to-order), so I can almost always get your item out in the mail on the same or next business day.

I ship all items via USPS First Class, which typically takes 2-5 days to arrive. However, USPS will not guarantee delivery dates; therefore, I can't guarantee delivery by a certain date either. If you need your order by a specific date, please contact me first; I'd be happy to check my recent records to see how long packages have been taking to arrive, and I'm always ready to ship on the same or next business day, but, again, I am unable to guarantee delivery dates.

What is your return/refund/exchange policy?

My products are hand-crafted; as such, minor flaws may be present. If, however, I have missed a significant defect, please contact me within 14 days of delivery, and I would be happy to work with you on a replacement or a full/partial refund.

If an item is damaged during shipping, please contact me to send me pictures of damage, and I will work with you on a replacement or a full/partial refund. If the USPS loses your item, please let me know, so I can hunt someone down and feed them to dragons. Afterward, I will work with you on a replacement or full refund.

If you have simply changed your mind, please contact me within 14 days of delivery to arrange a return. I will refund your purchase price upon return of item in unused condition.

This is a gift, and is being shipped directly to the recipient. Can you leave out the receipt?

I'll do you one better--if you'd like, I'd be happy to include a personalized note in the package, so the recipient knows who to thank without knowing your transaction details! Just let me know in the "notes to seller" section at checkout that you'd like me to enclose a note, and let me know what you'd like it to say. (In fact, since these are so often sent as gifts, and you have access to your receipt online, I never include receipts in the package unless you request it.)

Do you ship internationally?

I can! Let me know where you'd like an order shipped outside the U.S., and I'd be happy to check your country's import laws to make sure my items are allowed to be shipped there, and quote you for USPS First Class international rates plus insurance.

Please be aware that you may be required to pay additional taxes/fees/duties on your package before it is delivered, according to your country's laws; these charges are the buyer's responsibility. I am unable to calculate or pay these in advance, and they are NOT included in the price charged for your purchase on Etsy.

Can you make me a bigger blanket or a different animal?

Unfortunately, I am not able at this time to alter my current designs, as I have streamlined a process that optimizes the materials I use. I would need to charge at least twice as much for a blanket even slightly larger, as I would be using fabric that would otherwise be used for another blanket; additionally, there is a process of trial and error in perfecting a new design of any kind, and the first one (or several) seldom come out right--at this time it would require an expenditure of both time and materials that I would rather spend elsewhere. However, Etsy is a vast marketplace of skilled artisans and crafters, and I'm happy to share my fabric sources with you if you'd like to approach another seller for your desired project.

Are you licensed to sell products featuring trademarked characters and imagery?

Use of licensed fabric is excluded from copyright infringement by first sale doctrine, which protects a copyright holder's sole right to first distribution of licensed material but allows reasonable redistribution (which differs from reproduction) of legally acquired goods of this kind. Further, as there is a reasonable assumption that crafting materials, such as fabric, are sold and purchased with the intent of being altered, sale of products crafted with these legally acquired materials is not restricted by copyright law. Additionally, I do not use fabrics that have any kind of “sold for non-commercial use” or “home use only” usage restrictions on the selvage.

I'm looking for item donations for a fundraiser. Would you be willing to donate?

While there are many causes worth supporting, I've already chosen one: $1 of every physical listing sold is donated to a local pregnancy resource center. The issue of abortion is controversial, but many people on both sides genuinely care about the welfare of women & unwanted children, & I think we can agree that no woman should ever have an abortion because she feels she has no other choice. PRCs (aka crisis pregnancy centers/CPCs) provide women with the support & resources to make a choice for life (some of the free services offered by PRCs include pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STD testing, pre- & post-natal counseling, post-abortion counseling, adoption referrals, parenting classes for mothers & fathers, & material assistance).
