Geeking the world, one clay brick at a time

I used to work in IT, but when my son was born in the cold, dark winter of 2011, I realized that children are unpredictable in their noise-making propensities, which impinged greatly on my ability to sound professional on the phone while working from home.

I quickly discovered that while I loved being home, I still wanted to do something besides wipe peas off the ceiling in my free time.

I've enjoyed sculpting for as long as I can remember, so I began experimenting with various media, and before I knew it, I was into the hard stuff: Polymer Clay.

At first I had a small but complimentary following, many of whom requested custom orders.
With the encouragement of my family and friends, Little Fat Dragons was launched in February 2013.

At first the shop focused on just dragons, but a custom order for a Cthulhu made me expand my line to include the little Elders, and led to my creation of a Lovecraft-inspired Chess Set. I now spend most nap times furiously sculpting, baking, and painting various creations and I love every minute of it because it allows me to flex unlimited imagination, and most importantly it allows me to watch my son grow up!

Returns and exchanges
These are fragile items! They are crafted with polymer clay, and while it is a hardy medium it can definitely break if it is not treated correctly. This means they need to be handled gently.

If your order is damaged when it arrives to you please let me know, I understand that accidents happen during package handling and I'll be happy to recreate your item! The original order will need to be returned to me and I'll send you a new one.

For returns, if you get your item and are unhappy with it then please send it back to me in the same condition it arrived within 14 days and I will refund you fully, less the cost of shipping, once it has arrived back to me.

Commissioned orders are not refundable - I define a commission as something you have contacted me to create that is not already showing as an available item in my store. If your commissioned item arrives damaged then I will replace it per the replacement policy above.

Please make sure you are reading the description of the item you have ordered, it often contains important information about size, color, material used. If you have any questions regarding the item please contact me, I am happy to answer any questions you may have!
Payment can be made through PayPal and Credit cards are also accepted through PayPal - you do not need to set up a separate PayPal account to do this. I cannot accept cash/checks through the mail, there's too much risk. I also have direct checkout/etsy gift cards turned on and you can use these as well.

I prefer payment to be made immediately upon ordering your item, if you have ordered the item and there is no payment within three days I will contact you. Because some of these items are custom made upon order, it is important that I know there is a payment before I start making your item.
US Customers-
I will ship first class with the USPS on most items, if you prefer an item shipped with a different method then please contact me and we can try to arrange something. Because some of these are made to order, I have stated on the items that it will take 1-2 weeks to complete the orders. This is to ensure that I will be able to complete your order in a timely manner. Sometimes I am able to finish orders more quickly, and if this happens I will let you know. Your order will be securely wrapped and padded for safety. I have factored the cost of shipping materials into the shipping price.

International Customers-
Shipping costs for international customers have become quite silly, but I would be willing to create and send an item to you. Please contact me if you are an international customer and I can calculate what the cost of shipping will be for you.

Generally speaking - shipping via USPS first-class is going to be the most affordable, however there is no tracking option and packages may take up to 6 weeks (or more) to arrive, so it is an exercise in patience! Also the buyer must understand that they will be responsible for taxes, duties, and any additional customs fees for their own country.

I generally will ship items through my packaging service once a week, if you need an item shipped sooner than later please contact me and I will see what I can do to help! Please understand that shipping costs vary a lot, if I find I have overcharged for shipping then I will issue you a refund for that amount.
