The idea to begin Little Leaf Sewing was inspired by my son Sebastian (10 months old). I had determined that I really wanted to do something creative, something I was passionate about, and help provide a need or service to my fellow Moms and family members showing support for all the new babies in our life’s.

My husband is really supportive of me and assists in the shop with whatever I need him to do. Just simply offering to get the fabric prepared and cut for me to sew is a great way to have him involved in what I am working on. He helps manage our shop assistant and Pembroke Welsh Corgi Jaina.

My hope for the future is to be able to transition to running Little Leaf Sewing full time so that I will be able to have some time to participate in things with my kids (we have 3 small children) such as picking them up after school, helping with a school event or project, and attending a field trip.

I think it’s important to have the support you need to pursue something that you love to do. I feel very fortunate to be able to use my skills to create something that will keep little ones warm and cozy. I hope this will inspire you to create something you love and I hope you will share it with all of us.
