Little Lotte Studio, where color is the star!

Little Lotte Studio is the creative child of a seamstress, thrift shop junkie, and Phantom of the Opera fangirl. In 2009, I accidentally discovered fabric could be any color I wanted and became obsessed. Since then I've added ice dye, marbling, silk painting, batik and shibori to my techniques.

When not putting pigment to textiles, I can be found rescuing dresses and drapery from the Goodwill bins and upcycling them into fantasy frocks. The art of surface design is steeped in a rich history, and I was honored to present a workshop on the art of marbling at Discovery Place Museum for the 2016 Mini Maker Faire.

I live in Charlotte, NC with three cats, two dogs and a husband. Custom orders and private workshops are available, questions and comments welcome!

Returns and exchanges
I want you to be delighted with your purchase, tell your friends, and come back soon! Please read the following carefully and feel free to ask any questions.

Refunds will be considered if a product is returned within five (5) business days, shipping at buyer's expense. A reason must be given for the return (i.e. doesn't fit, doesn't match.) Please let us know immediately if an item does not arrive or is damaged, so we can contact the Postal Service and get the problem resolved.

I try to provide high-quality images along with a clear description. If you are not certain of a color, please contact me for additional images. I will specify size in the listing. Because the garments I dye come from a wide variety of manufacturers, I will try to be consistent about what constitutes a specific size, such as "Adult L." If in doubt, please contact me and I will provide measurements.
Payment is due at time of purchase. I accept direct checkout and PayPal. If you live outside the US and are interested in an item, please contact me and we will work out the postage.

Custom orders are welcome and group discounts are available for charity organizations, wedding parties, and special events. Special orders include a nonrefundable 60% deposit at the time of order, with balance due upon delivery. Inquiries are welcome; I will respond within 24 hours.
Pictured, in-stock items will be shipped within three (3) business days (no weekends or Postal Holidays.) Special orders will be ready to ship within ten (10) business days of my receipt of a 60% nonrefundable deposit. This may be expedited based on availability, please contact me with questions.

All shipments are USPS First Class. If you have a special request please convo me and I will work with you. All US orders are shipped with Delivery Confirmation. If you would like to have an item insured please let me know.
Additional policies and FAQs
I use Procion MX fiber reactive dyes for all my tie and ice dyes. The patterns in the photos are colorfast and won't fade or bleed in your regular laundry. The best way to ruin them is with bleach, so avoid it anywhere near dyed items! Care instructions will be included with all dyed items.

My marbled silks are created with acrylic paint that is cured and heat set. To keep the colors sharp, hand wash in cool water, air dry, and iron face down on the lowest setting.

Textile surface design is as much science as as art! There will be subtle differences even between similar designs simply because every piece I sell is handmade and totally unique. I will personally make sure yours is, too!
