The Sappy Love Story
Gene and I met on September 4th, 1979 as two bright-eyed kindergarteners. We quickly became great friends loving the playground and playing matchbox cars during naptime. We lost touch before sophomore year. Gene went off to become a certified welder and I took a year to live with my mother in Florida. Fast forward nearly three decades and we find each other online. We each had three beautiful children and both had made poor decisions leading to divorce.
We reunited and quickly realized that we lost out on so many years of life not having gotten together decades before. We married and together we weathered the storm of a home fire, cancer, and building a business from scratch. We have celebrated graduations, grandchildren births, and just being together.
We are new empty-nesters, looking to retire. Taking the knowledge gained from our past experiences and failures, we are going to create a product line for our vacation rental, The Adirondack Retreat. This line will celebrate the Adirondacks.
And...the journey begins!
