Crafty Nurse
I have always been creative and crafty. When I was a teenager, I remember using my mom’s discontinued fabric swatches from her design business to make purses that I once sold at a yard sale. It was a simple pattern that I created myself with a little help from my mom. Then later decided to make my own quilt for my college dorm. I even made my own dresses for a nursing mission trip to Haiti. Little did I know that years later I would venture back to the sewing machine to make products to sell here. It all started during Covid. I was working in the operating room but got pulled to the Covid Unit so when I was off I decided to start making masks and scrub hats. When I wore them to work everyone loved them so I started making them for other people. Then one day, someone encouraged me to start selling online. I still sell locally at my hospital. One of my favorite things to do is take custom requests.
Recently, I signed up to be a vendor at a large craft fair in the fall. My mom and I were talking about it and she suggested making bag like I did as a child. I loved the idea! Who doesn’t like a good bag? I have always been obsessed with organization and literally have a box, bag, pouch for just about everything. Over the next few months, I will be introducing these new items here.
