About

Glass as an Interest, then a Hobby, then a Job.

We live and work on a small, quiet lake. Watching the weather, the birds and the garden grow is a joy that we don't take for granted.

Along with our shop on Etsy, we are fortunate to be juried into a number of fine art shows. After visiting art fairs for decades, we knew we loved glass but never thought we'd end up in a tent trying to sell our own creations. But after many years of working for others, we are now happily working for ourselves, and both working in glass. Something that started as an interest transformed over the years into our livelihood. We're pleased about that and excited to see what might develop.

We like exploring and making different things to continually expand our glass education. Charlie excels at making marbles, pendants and glass sculpture, using blown and sculptural flameworking techniques along with precious metals and lab-grown gemstones. I like making kiln-formed bowls, panels and tiles, using combinations of hand-cut copper, fired paints and sandblasting techniques.

Please see our website to view the full range of our work and our event schedule.

Shipping
We ship within 1-3 days of your order or will notify you immediately. Most of our items are ready-made and our photographs represent the actual item you will receive. Processing time for made-to-order or custom pieces will be noted in the listing.

We are occasionally out of town exhibiting at art fairs and sometimes this affects our regular shipping schedule. We post a NOTICE in our store front to alert you of this temporary change.

If your purchase is a gift and you would like a gift receipt, or would like us to include a special note, just let us know.

We package all items very securely for shipment. Although unlikely, if your item arrives broken, if possible please take digital photos of both the packaging and the broken item and contact us immediately.

We use recycled packaging whenever possible.

DOMESTIC Orders (US): Most shipping is via USPS with delivery confirmation, and many items offer Priority Mail as an option. If you have special delivery or timing needs please let us know in advance and we'll see what we can do.

INTERNATIONAL Orders (Non-US): All shipping quoted is USPS First Class Package International, which is the lowest rate. Tracking service is generally only available while the parcel is in the US. If there is no tracking service to your country there is no refund for lost packages outside the US. If you would like a more secure shipping service that provides tracking we will investigate for you, please inquire.
Please be aware that any import taxes, custom duties, fees, etc. are the buyer's responsibility, and these potential costs are not included in the item price or the shipping cost, as we have no way of knowing what taxes or fees may be applied in your country. Please contact your local postal service and/or customs office for additional information if needed, prior to purchasing. We are required to describe the package contents and value accurately on shipping documents, thanks for understanding.
Shipping overseas can be time-consuming, please be patient and we sincerely hope you will feel that the extra time and money you have invested is worth your wait.
Additional policies and FAQs
Our pieces are all made individually, by our hands, and are not mass produced in any fashion. If you see an item you like, we recommend that you buy it. :) We are not able to exactly reproduce an item that has sold, though if you ask we will certainly try. We are also happy to check our inventory for comparable pieces that might interest you. We usually have a sizable inventory of our work that we exhibit at art shows, and this work is not on Etsy but is available to you upon request.

We occasionally accept custom orders. Once specifications and terms are agreed upon in writing, up to 100% of payment is due before work begins. This payment is non-refundable unless specified by us in writing in advance.

REPAIR POLICY: If your item is one of our borosilicate (boro) flameworked pieces, and it accidentally breaks, please know that some of our solid-sculpted boro can be repaired to original strength and beauty as this type of glass can usually be reheated and reworked. Some repairs, like the bail (loop) on our pendants, and attaching a broken wing on a hummingbird, are free of charge excluding postage to and from. Please inquire.
