Announcement Welcome to my new Etsy shop featuring my Hand-Woven Scarves & Wraps which are crafted by hand in Ireland. Much of my handwoven work is inspired by the paintings of Claude Monet, one of my favourite artists. My hand-weaving workshop where everything is designed and made is named Swallow Studios after our annual visiting residents. Castleblayney is our local market town just south of the 'border' with Northern Ireland. Every piece made in Swallow Studios is unique. I hand-dye my weft yarn which is custom spun for me in Yorkshire. The warps, inspired by Monet's paintings, are carefully counted out by hand onto the warping mill before being dressed onto the loom. Bobbings of hand-dyed wool are filled for the flying-shuttle and as the weft interweaves with the warp, magic happens. Colour and texture interact and become soft colourful textiles to wrap you in luxury.
