Customer service is A1, if I could give more than 5 stars I would; super accommodating, attentive and on point when responding. The items i received were top quality and perfect. Packaging was a step above others. Will definitely do business again and would highly recommend this seller. :)

About

Opalholic willing to work with other stones.

When Tim was a child, he decided to find out as much as he could about his mother's birthstone, Opal. He made use of the library and the personal library of a neighbor who was a certified gemologist. Determined to get something special for mom for her birthday, he found a set of Opal Triplets (an assembled sandwich of stones - Black Onyx as a base, a thin layer of Opal, and then a Clear Quartz cap). He purchased this set of earrings and a pendant but when he realized it was not solid Opal, he vowed to someday get mom a Black Opal, since she had expressed interest in one.

Continuing to research as he got into high school and eventually into college, he found a couple who owned a store in Seaside Heights, NJ, and became their apprentice. Over the course of the next four summers (1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999), Tim learned to identify, cut, polish, and set gems and fossils. He specifically learned how to cut, polish, and set Opals. Finally after graduating from Montclair State University in 1999, he was able to purchase some rough Black Opal and create a pin for his mother.

After the couple closed their store in Seaside, Tim decided to ask his former college roommate, Brian, to join him in a jewelry business. Brian accepted and LoThEMaR Opals was born. Since 2001, we have been making, designing jewelry, and doing a great deal of custom orders.
