Loewen Design Studios started as a part time side hustle in 2016, evolved to become a family business and has grown into a small family-owned business. We build custom wood tables that we deliver across North America. In every stage of our history, what has remained constant is that we are passionate about providing a quality product that our customers love. We get excited about helping you create spaces where you enjoy hanging out, whether that is in the kitchen, the dining room or family room.
So how did this all happen?
In 2016 Josh opened an Etsy shop to sell pendant lighting fixtures that he built. This was his part time job while going to school. As the shop grew and his studies required more of his time, Ted came alongside and brought with him a background in furniture, specifically wood tables. And so the product line expanded.
Over time the business continued to grow and more family members jumped in according to their areas of expertise while also pursuing their own careers. Our team started to grow beyond just family members and in 2021 we moved the business out of home and into a larger shop to accommodate our growing team and our growing business.
Each member of our team is committed to providing you the best quality of product and service. Our customers are at the center of what we do. We do our best to understand what you need or want and how you plan to use your table, coming alongside in the design process. And then we work hard to execute on that design. We work exclusively with hardwoods like walnut, maple and ash because they will stand up to the wear and tear of life. We use Rubio Monocoat finishes because they are environmentally friendly and they can be fixed if life happens. Our steel legs are powder coated so that the finish will be durable in your home. We deliver our tables ourselves because we love meeting you and we want to be sure that everything is right.
The tables you see in our shop have all been built and delivered and are examples of what we do. If something catches your eye and the details are all just as you want it, that’s awesome! You can order it directly or you can reach out first if you have questions. If you need something customized, we can do that. We can easily adjust the size, finish or legs for your table.
