Sewing is the story of my life

I learned how to sew when I was in junior high. I was 12 and never realized it would be such a huge part of my life. Over the years I have made everything from quilts, pot holders and tea towels to wedding petticoats, wedding dresses and even one mans suit jacket for his wedding. I just love to sew!
I also learned to knit and crochet and when I'm not sewing I love relaxing in my favorite chair working with yarn. I am currently busy knitting a 10 stitch throw, it will be for me :)

Quality is #1 and I make each item to the best of my ability so, as a buyer you will receive a very well made item worth every penny you paid for it.

Many of my items are one-of-a-kind and cannot be duplicated.
I can however take custom orders for items that are similar to listed &/or sold items.

I accept PayPal as well as credit cards.

All in stock items are mailed at the post office, using the most reasonable method, within 24 hours of confirmed payment (with the exception of Sundays & Holidays).
I will be happy to send your item by priority, flat rate, UPS or any other means I can but the difference in cost will be your responsibility.

CANCELLATIONS:

IN STOCK ITEMS:
Once your item has been mailed your order cannot be cancelled, if you decide you do not want the item please contact me so we can talk about the return process.
I will refund the money you paid for the item


MADE-TO-ORDER ITEMS: I wait 24 hours to purchase materials for your order and during this 24 hours you may cancel - after that 24 hours I will begin purchasing and creating your item so it will not be possible for you to cancel.
As these are made-to-order items, made to your personal specifications, they may not be returned.
Deposits cannot be refunded - I use that deposit to purchase materials for your order so please be sure to tell me everything in detail when ordering.
Made-to-order items need to be paid for when ordered - OR - I may, in special cases, accept a 50% deposit to be paid at the time you place your order and the remaining 50% when the item is nearly finished. I will mail your item after the confirmed receipt of the final payment.

Revisions/Alterations: I know it is hard to imagine how you item will look when you order it. I will send photos as I work. You may request minor revision but since my quote to you is based on the time I am calculating your item will take me as well as the materials required I cannot do unending alterations that require me to work many more hours &/or to replace fabrics. Once a fabric has been cut for your custom item it usually cannot be used for anything else. If you want alterations that require more time, more fabric and trims then I will be happy to do them but I will need to charge you for my time and additional fabrics.
This is why I ask that you send accurate measurements and to be sure of the design you want BEFORE I give you a quote. My quote is based on what we have agreed upon before the quote. Major revisions are not included in this quote.

HOW LONG DOES A MADE-TO-ORDER ITEM TAKE TO MAKE?
Made-to-order items vary depending on the complexity of your creation and the time frame in which you need your order.
Small items such as a machine embroidered kitchen towel could be out in the mail in a day or two at the most.
Quilts vary depending on the design and the size of the quilt you ordered.
If you need your made-to-order item in a RUSH and if I can possibly do it within your time frame there may be an extra charge depending on my schedule and the item/s.
I will always give you a time frame as to when your item will be ready to mail when we are discussing your made-to-order item.
Shipping
I ALWAYS ship in stock items within 24 hours of confirmed payment - excluding days the post office is closed.

I mail USPS 1st class mail unless the packages is too large/heavy to qualify then I use parcel post. If you need your item/s faster and you are willing to pay for it, I will send by faster means.

The post office places a tracking number on every package and it is shown on the receipt so it can easily be tracked. I can give you this number so we can both track your package.
Once I mail an item we are both relying on the post office to do their job and get it delivered. They put an estimated delivery time on the mailing receipt - however - that is not a guaranteed time and I am not responsible if the post office takes longer. If you do not receive your package please go to www.USPS.com and use the tracking number to track it. If you have any questions please contact me.

I sometimes use recycled material (envelopes, boxes, tissue etc) for shipping.
It may not be as pretty as some others but the packaging will be clean, protect the item/s, get it to you safely and allow me to offer you lower mailing charges.

INTERNATIONAL Shipping - I would love to ship to your location - I already have several buyers who live outside the US and I always work to get them the best mailing rate possible. Please contact me so I can calculate the shipping to your personal location. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS & REFUNDS

MADE-TO-ORDER:
Custom, made-to-order and personalized items cannot be returned or refunded. Because these items have been created to your personal specifications I cannot simply resell them.
Please be sure you tell me everything in detail when ordering.
Double check the measurements you give me, if you give me the wrong measurements I am not responsible.

IN STOCK:
Returns are considered on a case by case basis.
If a buyer requests a return the first thing I need you to do is contact me within 3 days after you have received your item/s and explain why you are requesting a return.

No money is refunded until I have received the item back.
The item must be in the same condition it was when I mailed it.
Return postage is your responsibility and the postage you paid when you purchased the item is never refunded under any circumstances.

LOST IN THE MAIL:
The post office places a tracking number strip on every package, this number is shown on the receipt so it can easily be tracked. I will give you this number so we can both track your package.
If the post office tracking system says your package has been delivered then I cannot refund.
If the post office tracking system says your package has been lost then I will replace the item - if a replacement is not possible I will refund.

DAMAGED:
Most of my items are made from fabric so damage is not usually a problem - however - if there is damage please contact me as soon as possible.
I will probably request that you return the item so I can inspect it.
If it appears it was damaged during the mailing process then I would ask that you return the original packaging I used so I can see what happened.
If possible I will repair the item so it is as new, if that it is not possible I will replace or refund.

I do not refund when your package took longer in the mail then you expected it to take. The suggested arrival time printed on the post office receipt is not a guaranteed delivery date. I cannot be held responsible
Additional policies and FAQs
Who designs and makes all of the items in your shop?
All of my items are handmade by me. I use an embroidery machine to do the machine embroidered item but most of those item have been made by me unless otherwise noted in their description.

What do you mean by handmade?
I do, of course, use a sewing machine, a serger &/or an embroidery machine but I do hand stitching as well.
Handmade items are unique, no two are the same, even if they appear to be the same because handmade item are not exact.
I usually do not use a purchased pattern. I have either made my own pattern or I just create things as I am making them.
This is what makes handmade items so unique.
All measurements I give on handmade items are approximate.
