Announcement   Since I am such a fabric person, I have decided to offer some of my fabrics here in the shop. I will make a special note if there is a limited amount of the fabric since I also use these fabrics. Please keep that in mind - I am offering these fabrics here as I get ready to use them in my products so they might not last long. My prices will probably be the best you see!! These are all top quality cotton fabrics-hope you see something you want!!

Everything in this shop is entirely handmade by myself alone; please support the individual artisan.

The Log Cabin has always been one of my favorite quilting blocks and you will see a lot of them here in my shop. All different colors, sizes, styles, and fabrics- you will be amazed at how different a block can look with imagination. There will be lots of other designs, too, but I do love those cabins!!

I have been sewing since I was knee high to a grasshopper and loving fabric just as long. Recently retired, I now have the time to be with my fabrics full time. Here in Log Cabin Fever, you will find quality at reasonable prices. You will also find someone who is interested in your ideas for that special quilt or table topper. Give an heirloom!!
Please check out my other shop here on Etsy for your aprons or casserole carriers. I have had Sisters Act Two for over 6 years and have maintained 100% positive feedback!!

About

I have been sewing since I was very young and have always loved putting fabrics together for different looks. Quilting and I became fast friends many years ago, but the appeal of the log cabin block was truly addicting.
I have worked in Special Education teaching and Social Work so for many years was only able to feed my addiction on the weekends or on breaks. So many times on Sunday, I wished I could just keep on working with my fabrics. I had one shop here on Etsy with fabric items for the home, Sisters Act Two, and was also attending shows. I made the decision that if I was going to have quilting in a shop, it would be too much for one shop and opened Log Cabin Fever. I have offered different items, but always want to come back to my quilts.
A few years back, I made a leap of faith and retired early so my fabrics and I would not have to be apart during the work week. Although I do have a professional long arm quilter that does my quilting, I do everything else. Part of my dream is to have a long arm quilting machine and the room to put it in!! Now if I could just get all my creativity channeled and get more quilts completed. I am truly living a dream I have had for many years. Am I getting rich? No, but happiness holds no price and this is one less thing on my bucket list.

Welcome to Log Cabin Fever. Sit back and look around for that perfect accessory for your home or the perfect gift for someone else. I have been sewing for more years than you may have even been living!! Seriously, I have been at a machine for over 40 years so you are guaranteed quality construction. I love the log cabin block and all its variations. When I say that, I mean not just in how you place the blocks but in colors, sizes of blocks, and how to make the different blocks. You will see many variations on what is one of the oldest blocks in our country's quilting history. My only problem with opening this shop is when to get all those creative ideas to the machine. I am recently retired so my brain doesn't have to quit creating when I go back to work. Don't tell my former supervisor that it never really did, anyway!
So glad you came in; I am small now as I write this, but have big plans for this cozy place. Please see my other shop Sisters Act Two for your apron and casserole carrier needs. Also check my 100% Positive Feedback from those folks that have purchased from me over the past 8 years.

Payment
I accept PayPal and credit cards for instant payments. I will also accept money orders or checks. Obviously, I will need a few days for the check to clear the bank before I can ship. I ship immediately and appreciate quick payment. If there is a problem, I will be glad to work with you but can't do so if you don't let me know there is one.
Shipping
Order(s) are shipped daily from Monday thru Friday. Order(s) received on Fridays and weekends or during holidays will be processed on the following business day if not stated otherwise. All of the orders will be shipped out via USPS (United States Postal Service) to the address that you entered as the shipping address on the etsy's process checkout. Most orders are processed within 48 hours of receipt of payment. Combined shipments discounts are included in the listings, but if you get more than two items, there will probably be even more of a discount. Lighter items can go First Class; combined orders that move over the weight limit for First Class will be shipped Priority unless you live on the West coast. In that case, I will ship Parcel Post to keep the shipping cost the same. Yes, I do have a small handling charge to cover my costs of shipping products. If there is more than $1 difference in shipping, it will be refunded immediately to your PayPal account.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds will be gladly given upon the return of the item. Shipment back to me is the buyer's responsibility. I give sizes on quilts and other items; please make sure my measurements are what you need before you purchase.
I cannot be responsible for items lost by the Post Office!! I do not concern me or you with broken items since I specialize in fabric items.
Additional policies and FAQs
I love quality fabric and know when I touch it if it will hold up to years of use. This is so true in quilts. I am creating an heirloom for possible generations to come and am proud to be a part of that. My quilts and other items have been carefully planned, sewn, and quilted. At this time, I do not have a long arm quilter for the larger pieces. The lady that does those larger pieces is definitely a professional; she has had her quilting displayed and honored at the Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. Pam knows her quilting. I do the smaller pieces on my Pfaff machine.

I welcome orders with your ideas. Most quilt turn around time will depend on the waiting time for Pam to do the quilting-she normally runs a 8-10 week waiting period. Maybe someday I will start this myself, but that is part of my plan for growth. Smaller pieces such as table toppers, wall hangings, pot holders, and table runners will have a turnaround time of about a month. This could be less, depending on the orders I currently have. I have orders coming in through Sisters Act Two, also; please keep this in mind as you see a timeline for completion of your order.

The great thing about orders is you truly get it your way. I recently made a quilt that started with the paint samples from the bedroom waiting for it. I work with people on fabrics they would like and suggestions based on their ideas. I love the search for that fabric that you just love!!
