Announcement   Welcome to my world of handmade clothing and accessories!

Hand crafted items: knit or crocheted sweaters, scarves, hats, jackets and shawls. Sewn items use vintage tablecloths, handkerchiefs, doilies and fabric to create one of a kind, unique clothing.

The items are designed in my mind, which seems to have it's own logic. When another designer's patterns are used, it is noted when applicable and where you can find the pattern.

I have a few patterns that I have taken the time to write up and they are for sale pdf form. I also have some supplies for the creative spirit - some handmade others purchased for you to create your own pieces.

Retro Fashions - I have pieces from the 60's & 70's from time to time - my mom and I had a lot of stuff then and now it can be yours.

All items are in stock and the pics are the actual piece you are buying. Any questions, please convo with me.

I can also do requests of pieces in other colors, sizes, etc. If you are interested, please convo with me and we can discuss.

About

Hand crafted items from my mind, which seems to have it's own logic. It is a very interesting, somewhat chaotic place - come on in and check it out.

I am a child of the 60's & 70's and proud to have made it to the 2000's! My grandmother, who raised me until I was 8, was an oil painter and China painter. I would attend her "classes" weekly with her at a women's house in the big city of Omaha. In attendance were 6 to 10 ladies, all in their 40's or 50's - I was 3 when I started going. My memory of those years is one of my fondest - hanging out with the ladies that I looked up to for 6 hours at a time, watching them creating these beautiful paintings on canvas and plates.

My aunt from Germany taught me to knit and crochet at age 8. My other aunt taught me to sew on everything from fabric to paper. I was hooked and have never stopped. My Barbie's were the best dressed dolls in the Midwest.

Fast forward to high school when I really disliked school, was getting in trouble and started taking a lot of art classes. The art teacher noticed my struggles and he worked with the school to create a "new" curriculum based on Fine Arts and hence, I graduated and went on to college to study art. My head was full of artistic ideas and rebellious actions.

I have had many jobs in my lifetime: lifeguard, bartender, waitress, retail store clerk, art teacher, seamstress of wedding gowns, and Project Manager at a huge company, but my passion has always been creating with fabric and yarn.

My mind is so full of "ideas" that creating is my outlet, pure enjoyment and absolutely a way of life.

Welcome to my shop - I have knitted, crocheted and sewn garments and accessories for the last 40 years (I was 12 when I started) for myself and others. Throughout my life I have made wedding gowns, sold at art fairs in the south, and done a short stint as an art teacher. My mind is running at a frightening pace with designs and ideas, of which I logically, spew out via sticks and yarn, needles and thread, beads and wire. I love what I do!!!

Additional policies and FAQs
All items are one of a kind, they are my patterns and ideas performed in the manner which I felt appropriate. Handmade goods are not like the automated items we find at the "regular" stores. I find that part of the appeal of handmade goods, I certainly will not see myself walking into the party or office. Enjoy the spirit of handmade, one of kind goods.
