Lola Rain Photography
My love for photography grew out of an innate appreciation for the passing moments soon to be forgotten, the minute details around us that often go unnoticed. I have always been incredibly visually oriented, always lost in observation—gazing out windows, studying the interactions between people, fascinated by life unfolding around me. My eyes are hungry and my camera allows me to fill my creative belly.
I started taking fine art photographs when I was 15-yrs-old. While away at camp, I was given the tools to make my own film, an ancient camera, and a darkroom to develop my images. There began my lifelong passion for photography. Though I was an artist at heart, I decided to forgo my passion and get a degree in business. After many years working in many industries that did not fit me, I returned to myself and my life's work: art.
I opened an Etsy shop in 2009 to inspire myself to make this a business. I've been working on it slowly since then. Now that I am a mama, I am more motivated than ever to dedicate myself to making fine art, and related products. The perfectionist in me refuses to deliver anything but high quality, carefully protected and packaged goods, while the artist in me loves to add personal touches to my orders with free goodies and small bits of beauty.
