Engineer Turned Graphic Designer

I have been a crafter and artist my whole life. Cross stitching, painting, pottery, beading, and now graphic design, I have crafted it all! I love that moment when an art piece takes on a "personality." I become inspired, dreaming of ways to finish my vision and create a piece of art that evokes emotion and represents my style.

I first became interested in wedding invitations after helping to create invitations for several of my friends' events. Save the date cards and wedding invitations are such a personal reflection of a couple, and I love being able to help reflect that personal style. I am drawn to bright colors, vivid florals, and sometimes a few stripes or polka dots thrown in for fun! Reflections of my Engineering training and creativity can be found in many of my designs. Welcome to LollieJ Wedding and Stationery Design! I hope you enjoy looking through the items in my shop and they bring you as much joy as I have had creating them. I am an engineer by training, but my creative interests have never been limited only to science. My philosophy and style tend to lie in the place where geometry and art mix: graphic patterns with a touch of traditional wedding themes (floral, etc). I hope you will consider my modern designs for a truly unique touch for your special event!

Customers are encouraged to remember that this shop sells customized goods; while care is taken to ensure the finished good is comparable to the specifications in the listing, slight imperfections may be found. Purchased items are created to each customer's specifications, and are not mass-produced. Slight variations in paper texture, ink deposition, consistency, color, and paper thickness may be detectable to the customer and will not be refunded. Customized items cannot be returned or exchanged.

If an order must be cancelled, please notify the shop as soon as the error is detected. Issuance of a refund is at the discretion of the shop owner, but in general will depend on whether any work has been completed on the project. If the items have already been printed, no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be accepted. If the proofs have been approved, but no printing has begun, a partial refund may be eligible at the discretion of the shop owner. The customer must notify LollieJ Wedding and Stationery design of the intent to cancel in written form (email or etsy convo).

Any quantity discrepancies or errors of printing need to be communicated to the shop within 14 days of delivery. This includes incorrect quantities, failure of delivery, or printing errors not related to customer-provided content. Replacements or reprints will not be available after 14 days from the date the item was marked "delivered" by the carrier. It is the customer's responsibility to open the packages upon delivery and count all quantities in a timely manner. Shipping method for reprints will be no faster than the original delivery method. Should faster shipping be needed, the increased rate will be the buyer's expense and must be paid in full before the items ship.

If mail does not arrive on time for a specified event, the shop is not responsible and will not replace or refund the items. Fees for re-routing of packages are not the responsibility of the shop and must be incurred by the customer only. Note it may take 7-21 days (or longer) for the US Postal Service to investigate missing mail claims. Please factor this information into purchase timelines. If a different delivery service is desired (such as FedEx), please request this at checkout as additional fees on the order will be invoiced.

If the items are received in appropriate condition, any further use or shipment of the item is not under the control of the shop. Damage by mail handling, environmental conditions, or mechanical sorting machinery will not be considered for replacement, exchange, or refund. Please check with local postal offices about ways to reduce damage to delicate items during mail processing and handling.

All personalized items will come with an electronic proof for the customer to review and approve. Printing will not begin until a written proof has been sent and accepted by the shop owner. Shop is not responsible if messages are not received - always make sure to reply to the Etsy conversation or email directly and make sure to be appropriately connected to the internet. The shop will make at least 3 attempts to contact the customer for proof approval. These attempts may include by Etsy conversation and/or email. If responses are not received to those 3 attempts, the shop will partially refund the order due to insufficient communication. This refund will be subject to fees for time spent on the project. This process is to help you! I want to make sure that all items sent to you are correct and free from errors. You will need a working email address and to check your emails regularly/check your Etsy account regularly. The shop is not at fault if the customer doesn't check or see an email. This shop will not text or call customers under any circumstances. Please make sure to provide a working email address with your order and ensure you are signed up to receive Etsy communications.

Digital / Customer-Printed Files: This shop may offer a selection of files that are purchased in PDF or JPEG format so that customers can print on their own. When printing digital files, the physical output obtained may differ from the digital file due to many factors outside of the control of this shop; for example, printing equipment, toner brands, toner levels, image drum life, etc will all influence the finished product and cannot be predicted by this shop. Colors may appear brighter/darker/or more vibrant in one color component (red, blue, green, etc) when printed by a third-party. Since the print equipment is out of the control of this shop, no refunds will be issued for finished products that do not match the digital file. Replacement or reimbursement for printing expenses, shipping expenses, paper, or any other expenses incurred by the customer related to printing of digital files will not be reimbursed nor will shop credit be offered. This shop is also not responsible for providing IT help or guidance. Customers that purchase digital listings should have a working knowledge of their computer, printer, software, and how to download/publish files. Customers should also research 3rd party printing requirements to ensure files will be compatible. It is not the responsibility of this shop to ensure files will work with every software/printing company (especially if guidance on such requirements is not provided). If a customer chooses to purchase a digital item, their purchase indicates agreement with these terms and all responsibility for the finished product lies with the customer.
Payment
Credit card, etsy cards, and paypal are acceptable forms of payment. Personal checks and money orders are not accepted. This shop is not responsible for processing payment and does not have access to payment information of the customer. If Etsy experiences payment processing delays, there will be delays associated with printing and shipping of the items. In the event of processing delays, Etsy Support may be contacted for any questions or complaints regarding payment processing.

Sales tax will be charged to Florida and California residents based on the location of my shop and my production partner. Sales tax may also be charged in states that legally require this for online sales. This sales tax will be added at the time of check out and is not reflected in the prices stated on the site.

Payment is to be made in full per the prices listed for each listing prior to shipment of any work to the customer. In the case of custom work, it is at the discretion of the shop owner whether to charge the client a deposit fee prior to initiating work on a custom design. The remaining balance will be due prior to printing of any custom goods.

If a customer orders items to be used on the day of the wedding (for example, programs, menus, table numbers, etc), it is the customer's responsibility to provide all details at least 3 weeks prior to the date of the wedding. LollieJ Wedding and Stationery Design is not responsible for items arriving late.

All items are custom designed and printed, therefore, no returns, refunds, or exchanges are allowed. Each item may be proofed 3 times. If additional proofs are required, an additional fee will be assessed to the customer per round of proofs sent, regardless of design or quantity ordered.

Shipping
All printed items ship from San Jose, California or Las Vegas, Nevada (depending on the product ordered). Shipping charges and applicable taxes will be based on shipment from this location. Processing time for printing will be approximately 2-3 business days from the time of proof approval to the date of shipment. This is only an approximation and no guarantees are made by this shop for delivery dates. Some times of the year (for example holiday season in November/December) may require longer processing times. Please make sure to plan events with appropriate time for proofing, printing, shipping, and a contingency.

US Domestic orders only at this time. Items will be shipped via the US Postal Service unless otherwise specified prior to proof approval. No changes to shipping can be made after proof approval. FedEx shipping services can be used, but must be requested in writing prior to proof approval.

Finished orders will be shipped via Priority Mail or First Class Mail with insurance and tracking. The tracking number will be provided to the customer upon shipment. Any additional upgrades or changes in shipping must be requested prior to proof approval and additional fees will be charged to the customer and must be paid prior to order shipment. If additional shipping fees are not paid, the items will be shipped per the standard service specified above.

Tracking information is provided to the customer via the shipping notice. The item(s) will ship only to the address provided to the shop upon checkout. If a change of address is required, please notify the shop as soon as possible. A change of address to an international address is not allowed. The buyer is wholly responsible for the accuracy of the address information. If an item is shipped and delivered to the address provided at checkout, but not received by the buyer, it is the buyers responsibility to track the package or file a claim with the US Postal Service. If the buyer did not provide accurate shipping information, the shop is not responsible for refunds or free replacement of the items. Replacement items must be purchased at full price in the event of a shipping error.

Many items in this shop ship via USPS priority mail (which may be included in the pricing as stated in the listing). USPS Priority Mail does not have guaranteed delivery time-frames. The shop cannot and will not guarantee that a package will arrive by a certain date. The shop may provide recommendations on average shipping times, but this is not to be taken as a guarantee. The shop is not responsible for tracking, changing a delivery address, or filing a missing mail claim through USPS. Additional policies and FAQs
All designs are for the personal use only. Sale does not transfer copyright. Designs are for the sole purpose of personal use and no further profits may be obtained after sale of the design. They are not to be resold, altered, shared, or claimed as your own. This shop will not add artwork, graphics, or photographs to any design when the buyer does not have full rights to distribute and reproduce said graphics/photograph. The shop reserves the right to refuse adding any design elements they deem may not meet said criteria.

This shop is not a brick-and-mortar store. There is no phone number or location for customers to visit. All communication will come in the form of written, electronic formats. This includes Etsy conversation and Email. Requests for phone calls will be denied.

Customer Photographs:
Many of the designs featured in LollieJ Wedding & Stationery Design shop allow for customization with a photograph provided by the customer. Etsy does not allow for any content to be "uploaded" into the listing directly. Any proofs, samples, or test files must be submitted to the shop directly and a proof will be created for the client.

The shop is not responsible for the quality of these customer-provided photographs or any editing to the photographs (other than enlargement, positioning, and cropping, as needed for the design). If the customer would like the photograph altered in any other way, they must expressly ask for this service (which may incur an additional fee depending on the time required). The shop is not responsible for any differences between colors of the electronic image and the printed piece. When reviewing electronic proofs, images may show up brighter or darker depending on the settings of the device used to review. It is recommended to review electronic proofs on a laptop or computer device for best color viewing. Items will not be reprinted or refunded if the electronic proof was approved.

For best results, the shop highly recommends considering the following in photograph selection:
(1) Choosing bright, high-resolution, well-lit photographs. Photographs which are taken at sunset, or in darker lighting conditions may not print well and it is of no fault of the shop. Photographs taken on mobile devices may not have high-enough resolution for printing. Any grainy, fuzzy, or otherwise unacceptable printing will not be refunded or replaced if it was due to customer-provided content.
(2) Choosing photographs with appropriate "negative space" for placing text (if applicable to the listing). Photographs with leaves, trees, vegetation, "busy" clothing or other elements may make placement of legible text difficult. The shop may provide options to best allow for legibility, but ultimately, no refunds will be issued for illegible text if due to picture content/background.
(3) The printing process requires approximately 1/8 - 1/4 inch of the photograph to be cropped (when using a full size photograph). This is a requirement of the printer and is not avoidable or negotiable. Proofs are sent showing the approximate crop location, but actual finished product may differ slightly. Please do not submit photographs with important features at the edge of photographs (such as facial features, signs, etc). Refunds will not be given for photographs that were cropped during the printing process. Please ensure when reviewing the proofs that the photographs are acceptable.
(4) Submission of high-resolution or "original" version of the photograph will yield the best results. Photographs that have been compressed for web-viewing and/or social media may not print adequately. The shop will try to notify the client when there are concerns, but ultimately, the photograph and resulting quality is the responsibility of the client. Prior to submission, the client is encouraged to look at the file size of the intended photograph - versions that are 100 kb or less may not print adequately. Clients are encouraged to contact the original photographer and obtain the highest resolution version of the file (this may involve additional fees at the discretion of the photographer and LollieJ Design is not responsible for any fees incurred by the client).

Design Notes:
Printed pieces are cut using a die-cutting method or equivalent. Therefore, images in the piece may not appear perfectly centered or aligned, depending on the design elements. The shop will make their best effort to print pieces that are aesthetically pleasing, but it should be noted to the customer that certain design elements may not yield perfect alignment. These elements include but are not limited to: Borders extending to the edge of an item, inner boarders, stripes, and any element that requires "centering." Items will not be reprinted for alignment reasons.

Postcard Notes:
Please be aware that local United States Post Offices may apply stickers, ink, barcodes, or stamps to postcards. Postcards may be processed by the Post Office via mechanical equipment, which may leave marks or ink on one or both sides of the cards. US Post Office equipment, processing, and transit is completely outside the control of this shop and can vary greatly depending on the processing conducted at each local office. Consideration of these elements are not taken in the designs, as post offices apply these in many various places on the postcard. Postcards may arrive to guests with stickers, ink, barcodes, or stamps over critical information and/or photographs. Additionally, delivery, handling, or transit of the postcards may encounter inclement weather conditions or processing damage and the postcards are not water/weather proof nor scratch/damage resistant. These are paper card stock products. The only way to provide additional protection to the card would be to place the postcard in a separate envelope or select one of the shop's listings that include envelopes. This shop will gladly offer envelopes with any design upon request (for an additional fee), but it is upon the client to request this. Purchase of any postcard listing indicates that the buyer understands postcards may be damaged in the process of handling and replacement or refund of damaged cards is not available.

Paper and Envelope Stock:
Paper quality and color is indicated in each listing. In general, most items will be printed on either 100 lb or 120 lb white card stock or brown kraft paper, as indicated in the listing. The customer may ask for paper upgrades at any point during the proofing process for an additional fee, but these upgrades are not available after the items have been printed. Upgraded options include professional printing, thicker card stock, and/or cotton paper. In general, most items will ship with either a brown kraft paper or white paper envelopes as specified by the listing. Envelopes shown in listing are an example and may differ from the product received in exact color match and/or flap design (for example a square flap envelope may be received in place of a shown pointed flap envelope). A customer can request for an envelope substitution at the discretion of the shop owner. Colored envelopes or upgraded envelopes are available for an additional fee, upon request. Upgrades and customization will add processing time to the order and the shop owner will notify the customer of the new expected shipment date due to this extended time. Envelope colors are not guaranteed to match any coordinating designs or customer requirements.

Time to fill orders is as follows:
Work on proofs begins as soon as the order payment is confirmed. Proofs will be sent within 24-48 business hours, if possible, for the buyer to approve or request changes. Customization may be requested to the designs displayed on this site when noted in the listing information. However, if customization is found to be impossible to make, or considered too extreme by the shop owner, they may be modified or declined as deemed appropriate. Printing (if applicable to the order) will take an estimated 2-3 business days after proof approval. This is only an estimate and not a guarantee. Busy times of years, such as Christmas, may see additional delays due to high volume.

Address printing and/or stamping services:
For an additional fee, and at the discretion of the shop owner, envelopes may be addressed, stamped, and sent (or any combination of those services) on behalf of the customer. If stamps are purchased on behalf of the customer, they will be in the amount of the current price for a first class stamp in the United States, at the time of stamp purchase. Extra stamps will not be mailed to the customer unless requested and paid for by the customer.

Guest addresses are preferred to be set up in a spreadsheet or table format with names and addresses exactly as they should appear on the envelopes. Coordinating fonts to the designs are available. Seller is not responsible for errors in printing if the error appears in the file sent at the time of purchase. No refunds will be issued for incorrect printing. If an error is found that was due to the seller's error, the affected item will be corrected and replaced at no charge to the customer. Envelope print files are not sent by default to the customer for proofing. The customer can request a proof file of envelope addresses to be sent but this may delay shipping timelines if not completed within the same day.

Typographical Errors:
Please review all proofs in a timely manner when they are submitted to the customer. Proofs will be submitted either via Etsy Conversation or via Email. When proofs are received, double-check all spelling and details for accuracy as there are no free reprints for typographical errors. Always respond to the shop with necessary changes or with approval of the proofs. Printing will not begin until the proofs are approved. If, after receipt of the finished product a typographical error is found, any replacement of the items will be at the cost of the buyer. This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Absolutely! All orders can be customized to your wedding, shower, or event. You may submit the details to the designer via filling out the personalization box prior to adding the item to your cart.

For color or font changes, please reach out prior to your order to ensure this shop can meet your needs.

What is the quality of the paper?

Check each listing for a description of the paper and other important information regarding the specific product.

Do I get to see a proof before the items are printed or finalized?

Absolutely! After purchase of all orders requiring personalization, an electronic proof is sent to the buyer via Etsy Conversation within 48 hours of ordering.

Attempts via Etsy Conversation and email will be made by the shop for proof approval. If a response is not received in a timely manner, this may necessitate delay of shipment. Please remember to check your email or Etsy Conversations frequently if you have placed an order.

What is the turnaround time?

For personalized items, proofs are sent within 48 hours after purchase. Approval time is in the hands of the customer. Digital files are finalized after written approval. Printed items take 2-3 business days to print (Saturday and Sunday do not count). Standard (free) shipping is by usps priority if first class mail. These transit times are not guaranteed but delivery is generally in 2-7 business days. Refunds are not available for late deliveries. Shipping can be upgraded during check out to fedex 2-day or fedex overnight for the additional fees specified.
