We blew a customer's mind with the insane lather of our shaving soap.
Getting our 130 year old log cabin ready so it can be taken down, restored, and incorporated into our new dream home with another old cabin. My husband used it as his own hunting lodge.
Check out our Hunting Lodge soap - tobacco, bay rum and leather.

About

When your passion finds you

I was always around guys. My childhood neighborhood was full of boys. I managed a Division I men’s lacrosse team (go Terps!) and coached high school boys lacrosse for over a decade. So maybe it’s not too surprising to find myself making premium soaps and grooming products that are not fruity, floral, or frou frou.

I started Long Rifle Soap Company after burning out in a crisis management career. One night early in my career sabbatical, my husband and I were talking about how I could make money while figuring out what I wanted to be when I grew up. We were talking about our bees, which led to soap and how the soapers in the area weren’t making the type of soap with scents I wanted to buy.

After a lot of research, experimentation, and gathering valuable feedback from family and friends, I developed our proprietary formula that creates a hard, long-lasting bar of soap that makes your skin feel great. We use locally-sourced organic tallow from Waseda Farms in Door County, Wisconsin – the cows are raised less than a 30 minute drive from our studio.

My husband and I decided on a more masculine brand to stand out from the competition. Combining our history geekiness with our love of the outdoors, we fell on Long Rifle Soap Company brand. Our brand incorporates the spirit of the voyageurs, explorers and indigenous peoples of North America when the land was beautiful and wild.

But we make more than soap. After listening to customers and their grooming needs, we rolled out our beard oil, mustache wax, shaving soap and aftershave to the lineup. Our very willing and discerning human guinea pigs have provided valuable feedback to create premium products using the best natural ingredients.

Enjoy exploring our brand.

Damn good soaps. That what our customers say about us. They also like our other products a lot too. Maybe because we use high-quality natural ingredients, custom fragrance blends, and make it all with a lot of care.
