5 out of 5 starsLove my new girth guards! I ordered a custom color and they arrived very quickly. The guards are much nicer than those available through saddle shops and regular retailers. They are well padded on the horse side and make the cinch comfortable for my horse. I highly recommend Longhope FarmandFiber.

The personal touches she adds are so sweet, it feels like you have known her your whole life. Excellent customer service and communication ! I will be ordering again.

Longhope Farm and Fiber offers hand-made, hand painted products created from natural fibers and leather, inspired by necessity and, sometimes, whim.
Thank you for stopping by to visit Longhope Farm and Fiber. I established Longhope Farm 30 years ago in Hillsborough, NC when I was brand new to raising sheep and dairy goats, spinning and making cheese. Thinking about these 30 years, I smile at how much fun my three children and I had, experimenting with everything you could do with fleece and milk! We sheared, spun, knit, wove, dyed, felted, carded, made cheese, yogurt, and soap, and raised lots of lambs and kids. Here I am today, still experimenting with fleece and milk, thrilled and amazed at how much there is still to learn!
Longhope Farm and Fiber is an expression of the joy I find in learning and expanding. My grandfather was a saddle maker, so I guess it makes sense that I have found such enjoyment in using many of his old tools to explore new ideas with leather and color. The hand painted saddle bags I make are a new twist on an old concept. The evolution and expansion of fiber arts makes your head spin, but the creative energy out there is undeniable! Inspiration is just a click away! The excitement of new dying, spinning, weaving, felting, knitting and crocheting techniques has made it impossible for me not to participate. So while I experiment with some of these new techniques for my own projects, I make extra to help someone else enjoy the thrill of learning and creating.
