my name is Ola, I'm from Poland (Ola is Polish short for Alexandra, don't ask what's the connection, nobody knows) and I've been rather purposeless human-shaped sponge lost in time and space until 2009 when I've accidentaly bought some felt, really bad scissors plus needles, not knowing what (if anything) will come out of that.

I wanted to make jewelry.

So I did.

My first brooches were terrible but I was determined. Not even a year had passed when I finished sewing my first uterus-shaped brooch and started more to create and less to repeat.

Seven years later I'm designing as loobeensky, I've got more than 350 projects done and I sell my jewelry. There's also huge change in materials I use to create: now it's not only felt but also beads, leather, polymer clay, shrinkable plastic, rubber cables, copper, lots of paints, inks, I carve linocuts which I print onto felt (but not only) and lately I tried something entirely new: plywood.
